You were done dusting things so you came over to talk with Wendy since it seemed like she was bored too. "Oh! Hey man, thanks for making me the pancakes! They were really good," Wendy exclaimed as she saw you walk over to the counter. "Oh, thanks, Wendy. Literally, everyone was talking about how good the pancakes were. I honestly don't know what it was." You and Wendy laughed together. You sighed, "Want me to be the cashier? I have nothing to do anyway." Wendy smiled at you and nodded thanks.

You take on the job of being the cashier, though, after a while of standing there, there is no one in the shop. "Oh, business is going awful today," you hear Grunkle Stan mumble as he comes out from upstairs. "Is it always like this?" You question him as he looks at you, "Not always, it started happening in the past week." Stan grumbles to himself.

"Y/N! Y/N! Would you like to join us on an adventure?" You hear Mabel shout as Dipper comes out with the journal in his hand. You and Stan look at them with an unimpressed gaze as you start smiling, "Oh, yeah. That would be fun." You turn in the direction of where Wendy is sitting, "WENDY!" You shout. She looks up from the newspaper she was reading, "Oh! Yeah, man!" She stands up and walks over to where you were standing. "Thanks for covering for me. Also, read this newspaper-" Wendy remarked as she slid the newspaper over the counter.

You grab the newspaper and fold it in your pocket. You were planning on checking it out later. "Hey! Why do I even pay for you!? I'd fire everyone here if I could- well except Y/N. She is one of the ones that do the work!" Stan shouts angrily, obviously letting on about Wendy. You could sense Stan was in a bad mood.

Ford, on the other hand, was happy and grateful today. "So, good evening Y/N. How are you?" Ford decided to do some small talk with you. "I'm okay. What about you?" You respond. "I'm feeling great today! I can't wait to check out the anomaly that I found!"

As you were walking through the dense forest, you decided to ask Ford something, "So... I have a question. What was the thing that caused the original journal to be destroyed?" Ford stumbled in his track as he stuttered, "O-oh, well... First, there was an apocalypse. And so they (all the journals) were burned. But then they somehow were still alive and we found them in the woods. But they held too much power so I threw them down the Bottomless Pit. They were never seen again until I found some copies stored away in the attic. And well- that was my sign from the universe that I could never get rid of them. I decided to give Journal 3 to Dipper to help him fill out his own journal that he's working on. And Journal 1 and Journal 2, I keep them just in case I could use the knowledge I wrote down in them."

Ford shrugged as the adventure group decided to keep walking, with Dipper and Ford in the front walking together, leading the way. You got bored and tired, thankfully everyone agreed to take a break from walking. You pull out your thermos from your backpack, (somehow the tea was still warm) and drank the tea.

"So... I remember Grunkle Ford gave you Journal 3 to read last night..." Dipper mentioned as he squeezed Journal 3 in his arms, along with another journal. The other journal had a pine tree drawn on it, matching Dipper's hat. "Uhm. What are you implying here, Dipper?" You accidentally coughed the tea you were drinking out of your mouth. "I-I just want to ask you what you were reading! That's all," Dipper nervously exclaimed. "Uh..." You think about it. I can't tell them I was reading about Bill Cipher... Especially if he's living in my mind now... Oh, that's too bad S/N, you gotta make up a lie to Pinetree... That last thought wasn't yours. It was Bill speaking. You shake your head, trying to not let Bill interfere with your thoughts, "I barely even remember the page I was on, I fell asleep." You chuckled nervously. Dipper looked at you suspiciously as he recognized the nervous laugh from you that he always does. "Anyway, changing the topic... Grunkle Ford, I thought you said to trust no one... Yet you trusted me with a journal that was so powerful it had to be discarded... What's with that?" You question Ford as he calmly turned to you, "Well, trust no one is my quote. I used to follow it with my whole heart. Yet now, through a certain 30 years, I lived off my life... I now recognize that it is a paranoid idea. I agree that you shouldn't trust everyone you just meet, but you should trust. Trust no one, now, basically, means don't trust people you just met," Ford explained gleefully as he was talking to you. Mabel jumped up and hugged you, "I trust you!" You hesitantly hug her back and smile, you didn't even notice you did that.
