As Pacifica was still giggling at Dipper, you too, and Dipper was embarrassed... A giant earthquake hit. The ground started to shake viciously. Lamps went out, and the light bulbs burst. Pacifica fell down, and the food on the serving tray fell with her. Pacifica couldn't get up. Dipper was too concerned to even care about Pacifica. You, on the other hand, tried to stand up to help her, but your foot was stuck, and you couldn't move.

It all stopped, what the heck was that? You were still stuck. No matter what you tried, your foot was set in place by something. It was under the couch you were sitting on. You look at Dipper as he frantically looks at you. You shout to him, "Help Pacifica!" Dipper looks down at her and nods to you. He gets up from the seat to help Pacifica up and she brushes the dust off herself, "What was that?" You frantically still try to get your foot unstuck, "Some sort of earthquake... I don't know. But what I do know is that I'm stuck." Dipper comes over and looks under the seat, he analyzes it.

Lazy Susan turned on a lantern with a match to illuminate the place, "Hello kiddo, need some help?" Dipper looked back at Susan as you stayed in total silence. Dipper said seriously, "Do you have a crowbar?" You widen your eyes in surprise but remain silent. "Sure I do! What kind?" Dipper stuttered, "Th-there are different kinds?" Lazy Susan shrugged and laughed, "Sure there are!" Dipper questioned himself for a bit, and then said, "Bring the strongest one you have." Lazy Susan turned in the opposite direction and exclaimed, "On my way!"

It was dark without her, but soon she came back with a normal-looking crowbar, "Here." She handed the crowbar to Dipper and he went under the seat to put it in place. He brushed himself off and started pushing the crowbar up. As soon as he started pushing, your foot felt less trapped. "Pacifica! Come and help!" Dipper shouted. Pacifica immediately ran over and started pushing the crowbar up too.

You heard a big clank and snap under you. Your foot went unstuck in a single moment, and you stood up, "AH!" Dipper and Pacifica dropped the crowbar, and Dipper asked, "Are you okay!?" You nodded and said, "Yeah, thanks! But what happened!?" Dipper took a deep breath in, "Your foot was stuck between the seat and a metal pipe." You sighed and walked far away from the seat, "Thank you so much... I don't know what I would've done without you guys." Pacifica snickers, "Yeah, yeah, whatever..." But then she looks down at the floor where the pancakes were, "But what I'm more worried about is the waste of food." Pacifica sighed and said, "You guys like solving mysteries, right? You can figure out why there was an earthquake out of nowhere." She mumbled to herself, "And I'll go clean this up."

You and Dipper were walking through town. Dipper remarked, "But considering the anomalies of this town over the years, I don't think it was the Earth's fault (pun intended)." You remarked, "What if we check the news?" Dipper's eyes widened and he smiled, "Genius idea! Why did I think of that?.."

You pulled out your phone and searched, "Most recent earthquake." You see nothing about Oregon. You remark to Dipper, "There is nothing near Oregon... The nearest earthquake was in California..." Dipper sighs hopelessly, "I hope my parents are okay..." You turn to him, "Oh, right..." You put your phone in your pocket and say, "Welp, I'm pretty sure they're fine." Dipper shrugs, "Yeah."

You suddenly hear a loud yell from afar. It was unstable and strange. "AAAAAHHHHH! I HAVE MADE A MONSTER! A MONSTER!" He ran, terrified, warning the locals. The old man had a long white beard that goes down to the floor with a band-aid on it for no apparent reason. He had a cast on his right arm. He wore an old brown hat that looks like he got from a scarecrow, and brown overalls which are covered by his long beard. Around his feet, he had white bandages. He is missing many teeth and has one gold tooth. Dipper grabbed your wrist and started running over to the old man.
