Sebastian's Perspective

Y/n was sitting a little too close to Garreth Weasley for my liking. I first heard them talking when I started making my way up the stairs to the observation deck. Garreth has a very distinctive voice, so it was hard to miss. It is like nails on a chalkboard to me. I lazily strolled up the stairs ready to just scare him off, so I could enjoy some peace in quiet.

My mood shifted when I heard a second voice talking to him. I knew that voice very well. The same voice that can make my heart beat faster, breath grow rigid, and knees buckle. Y/n is talking with Garreth! My pace quickened. I thought about what he said about her in charms class.

I was planning to go to the Astronomy Tower to clear my head. I have been building up the courage to ask Y/n on a date and possibly come to Feldcroft with me to meet Anne, but that all changed when I saw Garreth Weasley sitting next to the girl that I love. Their shoulders were lightly touching and she was laughing.

I was listening to what they were talking about as I continued walking up the stairs. They were talking about me? Why Garreth and I did not get along. Of course his answers were just to show how "amazing" he is. He never mentioned why I actually hated him, and he knows exactly why.

He is arrogant yet simple minded, extremely crude and disrespectful, he snogged the girl I thought I liked, and he showed that he does not actually care about Y/n. I finally decided to speak up and burst his little bubble.

"You forgot to mention I caught you snogging Nerida third year when you knew I was dating her. And by the looks of it, you like to go after what is mine, but I will not just walk away like I did in third year. Not this time. Not Y/n."

I scooped her up in my arms and immediately noticed the gash on her leg. I was no longer enraged, I was just worried. I was supposed to be her protector, I am clearly not doing a good job.

After being assured that Garreth did not hurt her, I carry her away from the halfwit Gryffindor. Holding her in my arms feels right, and how she is looking at me makes me feel like she feels the same way.

"You need to go to Nurse Blainey" I whisper to her.

She grabs my chest tightly, wrapping my button up around her fingers. I stop walking to fully take her all in. I notice her eyes are begging me not to take her to the hospital wing. She clearly just did something involving her ancient magic that she doesn't want to try and explain. She did not have to tell me anything for me to understand.

I walk down the endless staircases and stop when we reach the Undercroft entrance. I pull out my wand, still keeping my grip on Y/n tight and open the door.

I carry her through the threshold and sit her down on the table. She doesn't say a word, just let's out a sigh of relief that we are not in the hospital wing. I conjure our usual arrangement of blankets and pillows before walking back over to her. I pick her back up and gently lay her down on the makeshift bed I made of us.

Not a word was spoken that time, but we didn't need to speak. She understands my actions and I hers. All we need is to give each other a look and we instantly knew what the other is thinking. Over the past few weeks our bond has grown stronger as we have become inseparable.

Imelda teases saying I follow her around like a lost puppy, and typically that would bother me, but I don't care when it is about Y/n. I do follow her around everywhere she goes, but she follows me as well. We are both guilty of dancing around our feelings for each other.
