Y/N's Perspective
I ran as far as my feet could carry me from Sebastian. I could not believe his brazen behavior. How could he just act like he did not just vanish from my life? After everything we had been through together.
His typical Sebastian charm was not going to work on me this time, despite how magnetic it was. I could not fall for it, I need to be strong.
I do not care what his reasoning for leaving me behind like that is, I thought we were stronger than that. I clearly misread our relationship.
My feet finally stop at the Great Hall. I slow down and stroll over to my house table. I see Ominis sitting in the typical isolated section he always sits in. He looks peaceful sitting alone. Ominis has always enjoyed the company of few, and he has never minded being alone. I watch him as he picks at his plate. He has filled out more over the summer. His frame is still rather slender, but there is definitely more muscle now. His skin is still a beautiful milky tone like he intentionally avoids the sun. He is handsome.
I feel a gentle tap on my back and I turn to see Imelda looking quizzically at my lingering eyes on Ominis. I ignore the strange stare and throw my arms around her for a hug. She gives me a quick hug before letting out a labored sigh. Imelda hates physical touch, but she would always appease me.
We walk over to Ominis and both sit on the opposite side of him.
"Ladies, nice of you to join me" Ominis says pleasantly.
Imelda waves her hand in front of Ominis's face like she is testing to see if he is blind. "How did you know it was us?"
"Yes Imelda I really am blind. I am able to get a good sense of people that I am around often."
I laugh as my two friends bicker back and forth. It was a sound that I have heard often and have become quite fond of. I start eating my meal, smiling at the background noise my friends make.
I feel an arm slap my shoulder and zone back into the conversation. "Ouch! Why would you do that?"
"Have you not been listening?" Imelda throws her hands up in frustration. "Quidditch is back this year and we are in need of a new Chaser! Our third one graduated. You need to try out. You would be excellent. You have the fastest time on all the courses."
Ugh Quidditch. I know nothing of the game being a muggle-born. From what Imelda has told me about it, it seems dangerous. After a dangerous fifth year, I was not looking to partake in any new dangerous activities.
Suddenly I feel muscular arms wrap around me and a chin rest on top of my head. I can see the pale arms and freckles and immediately know who it is. "Garreth!"
He slides in to sit next to me. "You should try out Y/n! You are a natural on the broom. Plus if you join, you can try and beat me" Garreth playfully nudges me.
Honestly, it seems like a lot of my friends play and they all look fine. I am good on the broom. There is no harm in just trying and if I hate it, then I can walk away.
"Who are the other Chasers for our House?"
"Imelda and I believe my cousin" Ominis chimes in.
"You have a cousin here Ominis?" Garreth looks baffled at the blonde Slytherin.
I remember Ominis's cousin and it is not someone I am particularly a fan of. I have seen him walking the hallways with a different girl under his arm every week. Plus, he tried to get too cozy with me at the Halloween party last year. I do not love the idea of having to be around him more than I have to.
