Just Contract | JaeSahi [?]

Asahi took out his phone from his bag. He just realized that he hasn't looked at his phone yet since he arrived for work. He got a call from Bang Yedam. The CEO’s secretary. That’s weird. Asahi just answered the call and waited for Yedam to start talking first.

“Are you there?” Asahi’s breath hitched hearing that voice. It’s not Yedam. But Jaehyuk’s.

“Why are you calling me from Yedam’s phone?” Asahi asked.

“Ah. Because I thought that you might not answer it if I called it from my phone. You haven’t answered my calls before this. So.. Just in case,” Jaehyuk said.

“You can call me from your phone. I’ll answer it,” Asahi said.

“Alright,” Jaehyuk said. “Are you busy now? Do you have any appointments today?”

Asahi looked at the laptop and opened the scheduler. It seems like he didn’t have any scheduled appointments today. The tasks that were assigned to him are also almost done for today. That means he's not so busy today.

“I didn’t have any appointments yet today. And I’m not too busy. Only if they didn’t suddenly assign me to do some urgent things,” Asahi said.

“Great. I’m already in South Korea. But I have a meeting to attend. If it’s okay with you, can you apply for half day today? We’re going to register our marriage after I'm done with the meeting,” Jaehyuk said.

“Today?” Asahi asked to confirm it.

“If it’s not okay with you, we can arrange it another time,” Jaehyuk said. After he’s back from Japan, he hasn't met Jaehyuk yet. They didn’t even contact each other after Jaehyuk left. The day he spent with Jaehyuk in Japan still feels unreal. It just feels like a dream. And now when Jaehyuk talked about registering their marriage, it made him realize that it was not just a dream. He’s going to get married to Yoon Jaehyuk. The CEO of the company he’s currently working at after the said CEO paid his family’s debt. Doesn't that sound like a fairytale?

“I’ll apply for the half day. Let’s just register today. I’m not that busy either. You might get busier later,” Asahi said.

“Alright. I’ll pick you up?” Jaehyuk asked.

“No. Let’s just meet there,” Asahi said. He’s still not so comfortable if anyone found out about him and Jaehyuk yet. It’s just a contract marriage. So, Asahi thought that it might be better if they kept it a secret as long as they could.

“If you say so,” Jaehyuk said. “Tell me if you already clocking out,”

“Okay,” Asahi said.

“See you later,”

“Hm,” Asahi hummed before he ended the call. After he did that, Asahi slapped his forehead. He didn’t even ask if Jaehyuk wanted to say anything before he ended the call. He suddenly felt bad for doing that. Asahi took a deep breath. He sent the HR application for taking half day. With family matters as the reason. They’re going to be a family after they registered their marriage today anyway. Even though it’s just for a year, if he didn’t get pregnant. Or if he ever gets pregnant, their marriage will get dismissed right after he gives birth to their child.

But for now, they might just be together for a year. There’s no way he’s going to get pregnant too because of his body condition. Asahi shook his head and started to do his work. He better finish his work early than doing it in a rush if he starts later. Asahi got the notice that his application for taking half day was approved by the HR. After doing his work and double checking whether he got everything in order or not, Asahi gets ready to clock out. Getting ready to get married.
