“Bang Secretary. Where have you been?” Jaehyuk asked. Yedam walked inside the office. He looked at the clock on Jaehyuk's table. The lunch hour has not ended yet but Jaehyuk is already looking for him. Yedam already checked his phone and Jaehyuk hasn't texted or called him before.

“I’m sorry for being late and didn't tell you beforehand,” Yedam said. It's true that he didn't tell Jaehyuk that he went to meet Haruto earlier. But it's during his lunch time and the meeting is already over too. But still. It still feels like it's his fault when he sees his superior looking anxious like this. He was calm and collected earlier when he attended the meeting. The meeting went smoothly as well. But it seems like something is bothering the Alpha.

“It’s not a big deal. No worries. I was just looking for you because I couldn't find the report of yesterday's meeting,” Jaehyuk said. He does look like he's looking for something. He opened the drawer and took out things from there. Yedam’s eyes saw the thing that Jaehyuk was supposed to look for. The report which he already put in a pendrive and he already printed out a copy of it. He remembered that Jaehyuk himself took the copy together with the pendrive as soon as Yedam finished making the copy of the report. And the report, together with the pendrive, is right in front of Jaehyuk, on his table.

“I believe you're looking for this report,” Yedam said as he walked closer and pointed at the report on his table. Jaehyuk stopped and looked at the direction that Yedam was pointing at.

“Ah.. I thought it was something else. Thank you,” Jaehyuk said. He closed the drawers that he opened earlier. He flipped the report, almost dropping the pendrive that was right on the report but Yedam quickly took it. Jaehyuk looked surprised with his own action. He took a deep breath before he slowly exhaled it. Trying to calm himself. “Thank you, Bang Secretary,”

“No problem. Take your time. You didn't have any important schedule coming for today. You can review the report and the proposal that you have put aside,” Yedam pointed at a pile of files on the sofa in the office. Jaehyuk looked at files and sighs. “You can take a break if you need it. Even robots need a break, Yoon Director,”

“I don't really have or need time for a break,” Jaehyuk said. He started to read the report. Yedam sighed. He can see that the Alpha really needs a break. Jaehyuk has been working nonstop ever since Asahi left him. He barely even went home and occupied himself with work. At first, Yedam thought that Jaehyuk was just being himself and unbothered by the fact that Asahi left him. Seeing how Jaehyuk still manages to work without any problem. Yedam thought that Jaehyuk didn't really care about Asahi that much.

But after he heard what Hyunsuk said last time, Yedam started to see little by little. That Jaehyuk is forcing himself to look alright. To look as if nothing had happened. But it was just a mask. And it's not even perfectly concealed if he looks at it very carefully. Yedam started to notice Jaehyuk being restless and anxious most of the time. He also remembered that the very next day after Asahi left, Jaehyuk dropped his coffee on a very important document. Jaehyuk managed to handle it by making another copy right away and asked the cleaner to clean the mess. That's why Yedam didn't really notice it. Yedam, still amused at Jaehyuk, manages to quickly mend the problems calmly and efficiently. But it doesn't change the fact that Jaehyuk is constantly being anxious and bothered.

“You want to see Asahi don't you?” Yedam asked. Jaehyuk who's currently flipping the report, stopped as he heard what Yedam just said. “You miss him. You're worried about him. Don't you?”

“I’ll be lying if I said I didn't,” Jaehyuk said after a short silence between them. He then continued to read the report.

“Then? Why didn't you look for him? You just let him leave you like that? Didn't you said you wanted to propose to him to be your real husband instead of the contract one? Then what the hell is happening right now? Why did he leave? And why did you act like nothing happened when it's clearly something big that happened in your life. You couldn't even stay calm or take a proper rest. You're forcing yourself to work everytime. For what? To make you forget about your problem?” Yedam asked. “I’m sorry if I’m crossing my line. But Asahi is too much. He didn't care about you at all. While you? You're all miserable because he left you. It's not even fair. You’ve done so much for him,”
