“You’re just being over, Jaehyuk,” Asahi said. “Go and get your hair and makeup done. The staff has been waiting for you to finish with your work so they can get you ready,”

“But I want to look at you now,” Jaehyuk whined.

“You can look at me after you finish, Yoon Jaehyuk CEO-nim,” Asahi said. Jaehyuk pouted while walking toward the chair where he should sit to get his hair and makeup done by the beautician there. Jaehyuk smiled as he saw Asahi’s reflection on the mirror since Asahi is currently sitting at the waiting lounge. He couldn’t take his eyes off the Omega and keep smiling.

“Your Omega is really attractive huh? No wonder you have been hiding him from the public,” Wooyoung, the beautician that Jaehyuk is regular with, said while preparing to put on makeup on Jaehyuk.

“You think so?” Jaehyuk asked.

“You really love your Omega, huh? I can see it from the way you look at him,” Wooyoung said. “You look way happier now than before. Which is a good thing. I hope you can keep being happy like this,”

Jaehyuk's smile faded a little. This is not the first time he ever heard someone say that he likes or loves Asahi. It’s not like he dislikes that being told to him. Jaehyuk is just still confused with his own feelings. Is he really like Asahi, to the point that he loves him? Well, being around Asahi is surely comfortable. Jaehyuk thought that because he just liked the smell of the Omega’s pheromones. Their bodies are compatible as well. That’s probably why he feels comfortable.

But for people around him telling him that he looks like he loves the Omega, making Jaehyuk wonder about it. Jaehyuk has never even once experienced love or even a simple crush. His whole life has been chasing the goal and getting recognition, ever since he started attending elementary school. He didn’t look at others who don't have any relation with any of what he’s chasing after.

“You are that Omega, huh?” someone suddenly asked. Asahi turned to that person. It’s one of Jaehyuk’s aunts. Jaehyuk already showed Asahi the pictures of his family before. So Asahi recognized her. Asahi bowed a little at her and smiled a little. He already feels tired just by seeing her right now. He knows that he’s going to get showered by expectedly harsh remarks and questions. Asahi is trying to prepare his mind for that but still, he can imagine how tired he will be after this.

“Hyunsuk oppa looked way better than him. What did you do for a living?” one of Jaehyuk’s cousins asked.

“I heard that he worked at Twilight Technologies,” the aut said.

“Oh! You met there and got married? Wow,” the cousin said.

“He probably seduced Jaehyuk and got him to marry him. Just look at him. He’s nothing compared to Hyunsuk. Why the hell Jaehyuk left Hyunsuk for an unremarkable Omega like him? Nonsense,” the aunt said. If they knew that Hyunsuk and Jaehyuk’s relationship was just pretend. “What are you up to? His money?”

“Jaehyuk probably just got some random Omega to marry him because he wanted to shows father that he’s rebelling or something. He probably noticed that father is trying to drag him down from his position after he broke up with Hyunsuk. But for some reason, he got the support from the other board members. So the only way to do it is just to send him to Twilight Technologies,” one of Jaehyuk’s uncles said. Asahi recognized this uncle because he’s also working at the HQ and visited the subsidiary company sometimes.

“But he should just find someone else. Not just this random Omega,” the aunt said.

“He probably didn’t care about the family’s reputation at all,” the uncle said.

“But at least he should care about his own image. What is in his mind having this kind of Omega as a husband? I really don’t get it. It will just ruin our bloodline,” the aunt said.

“He’s the same as his father. Marrying someone without father’s approval. Seems like he’s really his father’s son huh,” the uncle said. “You know how he keeps on trying hard to show that he can make our family proud? He’s just wasting every single effort he has taken since elementary school with this stupid choice. His father really shouldn’t suddenly come back just to tell father that he has an Alpha son. Because this Alpha son in question doesn't even do anything to be proud of. They probably shouldn’t even have him born,”

Asahi feels like he’s going to flip a table now. He has been just quietly listening to them bad mouthing his Alpha. But for them saying that Jaehyuk shouldn’t be born is just making him so mad.Before Asahi could do anything, he can feel someone wrapping his arm around him. Asahi looked at the person standing next to him, who is obviously Jaehyuk. Jaehyuk gently rubbed Asahi’s shoulder, trying to calm his Omega. It seems like he already knows the content of the conversation.

“Seems like you guys are having so much fun talking about me,” Jaehyuk said.

“Oh. It’s Jaehyuk. Congratulations for the launching,” the aunt said in a very sarcastic tone. Asahi was about to smash the wine glass that she’s currently holding on her face but he knows that he should keep calm and not cause any trouble now.

“Thank you. You should try the dessert that we served. They are from a very famous cafe that even got featured on a famous drama that’s still airing right now,” Jaehyuk said.

“Really. I’ll try that later,” the aunt said. She then looked at Asahi with a judging stare. “Do you really need to marry this Omega? What did he even do to make you marry him?”

“I don’t feel like I need to tell you about me and my partner. You can mind your own marriage life more than being nosy on others,” Jaehyuk said. The aunt rolled his eyes before mumbling some cursing and left. After everyone left, Jaehyuk turned Asahi to face him. “Are you alright?”

“Why are you making it sound like they just beat me or something? I’m not a kid. I can manage it,” Asahi said. “But it’s relieved that you’re here on time because I was planning to flip the table,”

“Oh? You did?”

“I said I was planning,” Asahi said. “They are talking bad about you. It’s not like you did something to them that they hated you that much,”

“I probably did,” Jaehyuk said. “I took away some of their share from the family’s wealth. They will be really glad if I’m not around,”

“But I’m not glad if you’re not around,” Asahi said.

“Really?”

“Yeah,”

“Are you sure?”

“Very sure,” Asahi said. “Because I still need to pay the debt you paid on my grandmother’s behalf. And we’re still in a contract,”

“Tsk. You’re not so romantic,”

“Do I need to be romantic?” Asahi asked. “Should we add it on the contract?”

“Nah. Just be the way you are,” Jaehyuk sighed. “Ugh! I wish this ended fast so we can go home because I need to recharge my energy,”

“By? Cuddling?” Asahi asked.

“Yesss~~”

“No. You should go home and rest,” Asahi said.

“Rest and cuddle,” Jaehyuk said. Asahi chuckled.
