Iris walked down the hallway alongside her sister, the latter dressed (as usual) in all black attire whilst her counterpart was dressed more, well, normally, and the crowds parted as they passed through.
"Did you really have to scare the whole school your first day, Nes? You're making it very difficult for Pugsley and I, you know." Iris whispered to her sister.
Wednesday ignored her, staring unblinkingly ahead, and approached a locker that a group of jocks were walking away from. As they got closer, Iris could see that they had drawn cruel drawing of pugs and wrote the word 'freak' over and over.
Her sister pulled open the door, and a very tied-up Pugsley fell out, and apple in his mouth. Wednesday stared at him as he fell, disappointment evident in her dark eyes.
"Pugs? Are you OK?" Iris asked, leaning down beside her brother. Wednesday followed, crouching down on the other side and pulling the apple out of his mouth harshly.
"I want names." She demanded.
"I don't know who they were, honest." Pugsley replied, his voice thick with emotion, "It happened so fast."
"Pugsley, emotion equals weakness." Wednesday reminded him, as she and her twin set about untying the knots the bound him, "Pull yourself together." Puglsey whimpered and Wednesday's glare hardened, "Now!"
As she pulled the knot that bound his hands free, her head snapped back, and Iris looked at her with concern.
"Nes? You OK?" She asked. When she got no answer from the girl, she gently took a hand and placed on Wednesday's arm.
Her head snapped back down, and she looked between her brother and her twin, her eyes wide.
"You okay?" Pugsley asked timidly.
Wednesday paused for a moment before standing up off the ground. "Leave this to me." She announced, walking away.
"Wednesday?" Pugsley asked, sitting up. His sister turned to face him, "What are you gonna do?"
"What I do best." She replied ominously, before turning back around and walking off. Pugsley turned back to face his other sister, who was now trying to untie his legs whilst watching Wednesday walk away.
"She is so getting expelled after this." Iris muttered. Once she had untied her brother completely, she helped him stand up and sent him on his way to his class.
Deciding it would be best if she just skipped her next class, Iris set off in the direction that her sister had taken in hopes of finding her.
As she walked further down the corridor, she heard distant screams coming from the swimming pool and took off in that direction.
She pushed open the double doors and was greeted by the sight of a very blood-filled pool, with Wednesday standing at the edge of it.
"What did you do?" Iris sighed. Wednesday spun around to face her, a smirk plastered on her face.
"I'm getting expelled, but it was worth it." She said, taking a hold of Iris' hand a dragging her from the pool and out into the hallway, away from the chaos.
