Iris wasn't really enjoying her dinner. But what made it more interesting was when Yoko began to puff up like a ballon and turn bright red.

Iris, having firgured out that Yoko was having an allergic reaction, used the Epi Pen she carried with her.

Yoko was taken to the infirmary and Iris took a very distraught Enid up to the dorm once dinner was over.

Enid then flopped on her bed, hitting it over and over again whislt crying, and Iris sat on the seat at her desk, observing.

Tje window creaked open, and Wednesday climbed in.

"Where have you been?" Enid cried, making her way over to her, "I'm literally having a heart attack right now. Yoko is in the infirmary!" Hse began to pace.

"What happened?" Wednesday asked.

"Garlic bread incident at dinner." Enid replied, still pacing, "She had a major allerguc reaction which means she's out of the Poe Cup and I don't have a co-pilot!"

"It wasn't and accident, Bianca's behind it." Wednesday told her.

"How do you know?" Enid demanded, and Iris looked at her sister, seeing that she knew more that she needed to tell her.

"Doesn't matter. You, Iris and I are going to take her down tomorrow."

Enid stopped her pacing to look at Wednesday. "Wait. You're joining the Balck Cats? You're willing to do that?" Enid took a step towards Wednesday, who took one back. "For me?"

Iris didn't know what it was, but whatveer Enid was doing with Wednesday made her insanely jealous.

"I want to humiliate Bianca so badly that the bitter taste of defeat burns in her throat."

"Yeah, but mostly you're doing it because we're friends, right?" Enid asked her.

Wednesday turned around, not answering. "Tell me how she keeps winning."

"It's a real brain cramp. The past two years, no other boat has made it across the lake and backwithout sinking."

"Sounds like sabotage." Wednesday said.

"Surely that's not allowed, though. Right?" Iris asked Enid.

"There are no rules in the Poe Cup, and she is a a siren, which makes her the master of the water." Enid pointed out, and Iris nodded, rememberong Enid telling her that when they were painting the boat one day.

"Then we just need to beat her at her own game." Wednesday said ominously, spinning around to face the two.

It was later in the day, and Enid and Iris were sitting on the wall waiting for Wednesday to meet them.

"So, we never actually talked the other day." Iris began.

"Yeah. I guess I kind of... panicked? I've never kissed a woman before, and I didn't even know I liked women, so I freaked out." Enid replied, keeping her eyes on her hands.

"I've never kissed a woman either so it's understandable." Iris said, smiling at Enid when she looked up at her.

"Friends?"

"Friends."

Wednesday came over at that moment, walking past Bianca who watched her walk away with a smirk on her face.

"We're all set." Enid told her, happy that her and Iris were on talking terms again.

"Good. Thing is in position." Wednesday informed the two. She had noticed her sister's sudden change in demeanour, but didn't question it.

"Want to tell us what you two were up to all night?" Enid asked.

"And spoil the surprise?"

"Speaking of surprises, you're costumes in the tent!"

"Costume?"

"You're going to love it." Iris told her sister sarcastically, placing a hand on her arm.
