Enid and Iris were back painting the boat again, although they weren't doing much, trying to grt as much paint as possible on each other.

"I have to get back to the woods, but Weems has been watching me like a vulture circling a carcass." Wednesday said, marching up to them.

"And you want me to cover so that you can return to the scene of a crime that didn't happen?" Enid assumed, painting the boat more.

Iris knew Enid believed them, but she was just trying to piss Wednesday off, and to be honest, it was kind of funny.

"I have beekeeping club this afternoon. I need you as decoy."

"Sorry. Two strikes. I'm busy and bees totally creep me out."

"Iris is going, so you won't be alone." Wednesday pointed out.

"Why don't you ask Thing? Wait, you can't because he's mad at you."

Iris snorted, but quickly straightened her face when Wednesday glared at her.

"Why's he mad? He's the one who screwed up with Rowan." Wednesday asked.

"All I know is that Iris, Thing and I spent an hour giving each other manis, and he really opened up." Enid informed her, "He feels like you don't respect him as a person. And, he said Iris was his favourite Addams."

Wednesday looked at her sister, who made herself turn invisible to avoid her sister's glare. She had been gaining more control with Weems help, and Enid had offered her assistance as well. Enid had also been helping a lot with her history tutoring, and her grades hsd slowly began to rise.

"Technically, he's only a hand." Wednesday pointed out.

"Wednesday, he's your family. And he would do anything for you. Go apoligise and I'll reconsider helping you."

With some hesitation, Wednesday walked away, and Iris turned vack to normal, watching her sister stomp.

"If she actually apologises to him, I will be surprised." Iris muttered, wiping her black paintbrush on Enid's hand.

"Why? And would you stop doing that!" Enid cried, wiping her hand on her apron.

"Because she's stubborn as hell, and only apologises to me." Iris said, painting a few strokes on the boat.

"You're really good at painting. It makes sense why you do art now." Enid said, watching Iris work on the boat, her paintstrokes gentles and precise.

"Thank you! Thank you for saying that. I prefer textiles or sculpting, but painting's fun too." Iris said gratefully, smiling brightly at Enid, making the blonde's stomach flutter.

"Is that where you got that heart sculpture from?" Enid asked, refering to the heart sculpture that was perched on the shelf above Iris' bed.

"Yes! I painted it red and sculpted all the capillaries and stuff on the inside. My art teacher at my last school was sad when I left. Apparently, I was one of her best students."

"Well, I can see why."

Iris smiled gratefully, turning her attention back to her painting. Enid admired the girl, watching how concentrated and focused she was on her work.

They spent the majority of the day outside, Ella coming by to bring pizza that Ms. Thornhill had begun providing as often as she could.

The now infamous trio sat by the boat, having given up on painting, and began messing around.

"Wait, Iris, do you think your powers strengthen at night?" Ella asked as the sun began to set. She was lying on the grass. Iris and Enid were against each other on the now dry boat.

Iris laughed. "I don't think it works like that, Els."

"But what if it did? You wouldn't know!" Ella argued, sitting up.

"You know, something tells me I think she would know." Enid said, laughing slightly.

"Oh, my God, you would totally win hide and seek! You could just stand there, and they woukd never know!"

"That's true, I do always win hide and seek." Iris said proudly, a proud smile on her face.

"I bet, that if right now, we played hide and seek, you would lose." Ella said, standing up and stretching.

"Really?" Iris said cockily, standing up also, pulling Enid with her.

"Yep! Go hide." Ella ordered. Iris turbed invisible, and walked off, leaving Enid and Ella beside the boat.

She walked up to some trees, and stood behind one. Iris heard Ella yell that she was coming, and heard her run in the opposite direction, which meant that Enid was probably coming over this side.

Iris heard some sticks crunching behind her, and turned to see a fmailiar blonde peering around trees, looking for the familiar shine of Iris' invisibility.

She eventually made it to Iris tree, and Iris waited in bated breath, hoping Enid couldn't see her.

"I found you." Enid finally said, staring at Iris. The other girl sighed, and turned back to normal. Only when she did, did she realise how close her and Enid were.

And she also noticed how neither of them moved.

"You found me." Iris said quietly, eyes flicking down to Enid's lips.

"I did, yes." Enid replied, just as quietly, eyes also flicking downwards.

Slowly, they both began to lean forward, until lips touched and began to move together. Iris was pushed back against the tree, Enid placing her hand on her lower back.

"Enid! Have you found her yet?" They heard Ella's voice call from the adge of the trees.

Enid pulled away, looking into Iris' eyes before calling back, "No, I haven't found her."

Iris turned invisible, and Enid walked away to meet Ella, and they walked to the other side of the trees, but one question was circling Iris' mind.

What the hell just happened?
