Oikawa x fem reader

Y/n pov:

I look at the water running but I can't hear anything. I slowly lift my head to look at myself in the mirror and see the door opening.

My mother came in but I didn't hear her. I lift my hand signaling towards my ears and my mother nods.

I grab my hearing aid and put it in my left ear and switched on my external processor of my cochlear implant, in my right ear.

"Sorry I didn't realise" my mother gave me a small smile "are you ready, it's almost time to go"

I nod as I turn the water off.

We recently moved and today is my first day in a new school. I'm a third year student and the  first semester has already started so it's going to be hard to actually fit in

In my previous school I couldn't make any friends, and I was there for 2years, so this is going to be tough...but it's okay

We stop at the school and I make my way towards the main office, get my schedule and then someone was asked to show me to my class

Once we got to the class I bowed and the person gave me a smile before turning around and leaving

Before I enter the class I take a deep breath

'You got this' I thought to myself as I knock on the door

"Come in" the teacher said. Once I entered I close the door behind me and I kept my eyes focused on the teacher

My heart was beating fast, but I tried to calm myself down.

"You must be the new student" the teacher gave me a smile. Once I stopped next to him he gestured towards the class "please introduce yourself"

I slowly turn to look at the class. I look around the room and felt myself feeling more stressed. When I open my mouth to speak, I freeze

I sigh as I turn around and grab the chalk, writing on the board

"Y/n L/n"

When I was done I turn to look at the

"Nice to meet you" I said slowly, trying not to sound to muffled as I gave them a bow

I hope that sounded fine

When I look at the class again, there were some staring at me while some were whispering

"You can take a seat at the second chair that's open at the back" the teacher said pointing towards the back

I nod as I make my way towards my seat

"What was that?" I heard the girl next to my seat say as she covered her mouth.

Guess it sounded bad

I just ignore her comment and take a seat. Before the teacher spoke the door opened

"Sorry I'm late, morning practice went on longer than we expected" a tall boy with dark, chocolate-brown hair that is swept outwards and eyes of corresponding colour, said

"I'll give you a pass this once, since you're normally not late" the teacher gestured for him to take a seat, and the boy gave the teacher a smile as he turned to make his way towards his seat

He stopped for a moment when he saw me "new student?" He asked

The girl next to scoffed "yes, her name is y/n" she said but it sounded like she had her tongue pressed against her palate, probably trying to sound like a deaf person...probably sounding like I did

There were some children that laughed

The boy made his way towards me, before taking a seat in the empty chair next to to me
