I busted out crying before burying my head in my hands.

"Lulu, don't cry." Lola's tone softened. She sat back down and rubbed my back.

"I don't know what to do."

"Well for starters, ghosting Luca isn't a great idea. You know who you are as a person. We were raised on morals and christianity. We are good people who will not tolerate anyone telling us that we are less. You got that?"

I nodded.

"Look at me, Lulu." She said softly. "What would grandma do?"

"Grandma would've knocked her ass out." I slightly chuckled.

Lola let out a belly laugh. "Exactly. Grandma always said that if you can't earn respect, you make them respect you."

I nodded.

"So go call that boy." She wiped away my tears.

"Yes ma'am" I let out a sigh before hugging her. "Thank you."

I found myself nervous to knock on Luca's door. Was Viola still there? Had she told him her false report already? Is he mad at me? I was wrong for taking off, especially on a day as vulnerable as that one.

I knocked on the door, it took a second but immediately it swung open. Enid smiled.

"Mr. De Santos will be pleased to see you." She beamed.

"Enid! How are you?"

"I'm doing well." She said while stepping to the side. "Misses Spears?"

"Luna." I corrected.

"Right. Luna." She seemed a bit hesitant. Enid quickly looked around before coming close to my ear. "I heard what Viola said, if you needed a witness."

"Luna?" I heard the familiar voice.

"Luca." I started. "I'm sorry for-"

He cut me off with a hug. I sighed while melting into his arms. Enid swiftly walked away into his office.

"I didn't mean to ignore you. I'm so sorry."

"No, I'm sorry. I thought I overwhelmed you by introducing you to my sister as my girlfriend. I should have asked you first." He shook his head. "It's not like me to jump the gun."

"No it wasn't that." I shook my head.

I didn't want to tell him what really happened, not yet at least.

"Luna Spears. Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked.

A smile plastered my face and I anxiously nodded.

"You're just so-" He started while staring at me. He pushed a loose coil from face taking in a good look.

We heard a low rumble and I chuckled.

"Hungry?" I questioned.

"Very."

"I'm in a cooking mood if it's something in that fridge." I said while sauntering to the kitchen. Luca followed closely behind.

"There was, but Viola cleaned my fridge."

I stiffened a bit a the sound of her name. I forgot for just a moment.

"But." He twirled me around. "I can send Enid to the store."

"Whatcha' got a taste for?"

"Something southern." He mocked my accent.

I playfully rolled my eyes.

"And those fried pickles you rave about."

I squealed. "You read my mind."

After Enid went to the grocery store, she dropped the groceries off and went home. I immediately started on the dinner.

"Okay, I am done!" I shouted.

Luca walked in the kitchen, a smile already plastered on his face. He rubbed his hands together as he stared at the food on the table.

"You made all of this for lil ole me?" He gasped.

"Your accent is not good." I shook my head. "Okay. So I made fried pickles, fried green tomatoes, deviled eggs, fried chicken, grean beans, and Mac and cheese. Oo! Also, honey cornbread."

Lucas' eyes lit up as he gazed across the counter.

"Have you tried the appetizers before?"

"No, I was hoping you could take my southern food virginity again."

"Which one are you going to try first?' I tested.

"Deviled eggs." He nodded.

I smiled before using my fork to pick it up. I cautiously held my hand under before bringing it to Luca's mouth. He took a bite.

"Oh thats bomb." He nodded furiously. "Where have these been my whole life?"

"This is amazing to see." I snickered. "My grandmother use to call them angel eggs, because in her words, the devil had no place in her house."

Luca laughed, shaking his head. "Angel eggs? That's brilliant. Your grandmother had some serious standards. I feel like I'm committing a sin just eating these now."

He popped another bite into his mouth, savoring it.

"But if this is wrong, I don't want to be right."

I laughed. "Cheesy."

Luca and I fixed our plates before making our way to the dining room. There we talked the night away, and before I knew it was midnight and both of our played were empty.

Luca knew how to take my mind off the bad. I could sit and pick his mind for hours. I was mostly stunned at the new Luca. I didn't know how sweet the arrogant billionaire actually was. It was like I knocked down a brick wall that exposed well laid brick.

"This is what I wanted to do." I said. "Bring a taste of the south to New York. I just didn't succeed."

"Why didn't you tell me you were closing the bakery?"

I looked down sighing.

"I didn't want to come to terms with it. I was embarrassed and ashamed. All I heard in my mind was my parents telling me 'I told you so.' I wanted to prove them wrong." I softly held my stomach.

Luca placed his hand on my stomach. "Do they know?"

"No." I shook my head.

"Well when you do. I'm here with you, okay?" He eyes were set on me.

I nodded.

"The five month checkup is tomorrow right?" He questioned while looking at his Landon Watch.

"Yes. We find out the genders tomorrow."

"I have a meeting in the morning, I'll have Enid swing by and pick you up and we can meet at the doctors."

"Okay." I nodded. "I should get home."

"No, it's midnight." He stood up holding out his hand. "We're going to bed."

I felt my phone buzz under me before groggily waking up. Luca was gone, he probably was already at the office. I tapped around my bed feeling for my phone. I sighed while grabbing it and answering it.

"Hello?"

"Misses Spears? This Amanda from New York national bank. I just wanted to call and let you know that we received your payment for Sunny's bakery."

"What?"
