"Hi," I rocked on my heels in the kitchen with Awsten on FaceTime. "How are you feeling?"

"I don't know." He hummed with a small smile while sitting at his desk. "I'm excited don't get me wrong, a little sad though. It's just weird."

It was Greatest Hits release day. I hadn't seen him since Monday night. I feel like it's been the longest I've gone without seeing him since we started dating.

"Awsten," I frowned and leaned forward against the kitchen counter. "The album is incredible. Everybody loves it. You should be so proud. I'm really proud of you."

"Thanks, baby." He hummed with his chin in his palm that he had propped up by his elbow. "I am proud of it. It's fucking great. It's just been a rough week."

"I know," I nodded. "Well, I'm really excited to see you later. I miss you."

"I miss you too." He smiled back at me. "I'm sorry I've been so busy."

"We both have, it's okay." I turned around quickly and pulled out a stick of butter from the fridge. "I'm starting your cake."

"You're off today?"

"I have a Pilates class later but that's it. I've danced so much this week. I just need a day to take of some other stuff....but I'm tired."

"I'm tired too," He said and then proceeded to yawn. "I have no idea how I'm making it through today."

"Seeing me isn't cutting it for you?" I asked with a raised eyebrow and leaned back into the counter.

"What? No - I mean, yes. Of course it is. I can't wait to see you. I wanted you to come to this dinner-"

"Honey, I'm just teasing you." I said in a hushed tone. "I think it's important for you to go to the dinner with everyone else on the team without me. It's your thing.  As much as I'm dying to see you, we'll have our own dinner tomorrow."

"You know what I really want to do?" Awsten got up from his desk and started pacing around his apartment.

"What?"

"I want a night in with Chinese food and a gajillion blankets, and snacks. An actual movie night where I can just chill and we can snuggle."

"Do you want to do that tomorrow instead?" I asked and nibbled on the inside of my lip.

I was excited to go out with him to dinner, but I was tired too. I understood.

"Kind of...but if you really want to go out to dinner, we can." He said while walking into his room.

"I don't really care what we do as long as I get to see you, I just want to celebrate with you. It's a big deal and I want you to feel supported, especially after the week you've had."

"I do, baby. I totally do." Awsten insisted, now lying on his bed while holding his phone above his face. "And I'd love to get dinner with you too. Maybe tomorrow we chill and we go out one night this week? Maybe after you film your music video? We can have a dinner celebration for both of us."

"Awsten you wrote an entire album, I'm just dancing in a video and practiced the choreography for like a week-"

"It's still worth celebrating! You signed to a new manager, a new dance company, you've been killing it too, baby."

"Yeah...I guess that's true." I smiled at him while I watched his eyebrows pull together.

"You guess?!" He sat back up again. "Friday night dinner. You and me. The sushi spot we went to for our second date."
