Tethered ? Awsten Knight

Next Day:
3:12 PM

"Hey..." I said slowly as I approached the table with Frank and saw Erik. "I didn't know you were joining us."

We were at a restaurant close to the studio and my apartment.

"Did I not mention that?" Frank asked, giving me a side hug before I pulled out a chair and sat down with them. "My bad, I totally thought I did."

"It's okay." I shrugged, twisting my ring on my finger.

But was it? Maybe I just didn't like it because Erik was here.

"How are you feeling? About rehearsals and the festivals?" Frank asked me.

"Really good." I nodded enthusiastically. "I haven't danced for eight hours straight in a while so I'm a bit tired, but it's okay. I'm excited for the festivals though. Especially Lolla."

"Is Awsten going to go to anything?"

"Who's Awsten?" Erik asked.

"My boyfriend," I answered with a slight blush, then looked at Frank. "Yeah, he's coming to Lolla to see me."

Part of me was panicking that Erik now knew Awsten's name - but also I felt like he already knew by now.

"That's very nice. His band isn't on the lineup, is it?"

"No, not this year." I laughed a little. "Hopefully one day though. He would love that."

"What band?" Erik asked again.

"Waterparks."

Well the cat was out of that bag.

"One day for sure." Frank nodded, taking a sip of his water. "Are you guys drinking anything?"

"No," I shook my head politely. "I'm okay."

"Tatum doesn't drink." Erik said while looking at his menu.

"That's right." Frank smiled down at his menu. "You two came from the same dance company, right?"

"Yeah, we've known each other for a while." Erik answered.

I dug my nails into my palm and kept my eyes down.

I had no idea what was going on here.

Awsten hated Erik. The last thing I needed after the shit storm that happened last year was to be at a lunch with my manager and a guy that had hit on me multiple times.

And I'm irritated Frank didn't even tell me about this.

Although he probably thought nothing of it - but Erik and I weren't clients together.

"So it seems that you two have done a lot together." Frank said.

"A bit." I swallowed, looking down at the menu to figure out what I was eating.

I wasn't even that hungry.

This entire situation got rid of my appetite.
