"How many do you think we'll need?" Awsten asked, picking up a box of rainbow LED'S in our Target.

"I have no idea..." I sighed and wrapped my hand around his arm. "We could just get a tree with the lights already on?"

"Lame." He shook his head and dropped the boxes in. "I'm getting three."

"At least this will last us." I kept my hand around his arm as he pushed the cart.

"What color ornaments? Should we do an assortment?"

"Mhm, sure. I want some of the clear ones that look like bubbles."

"Okay." He chuckled and walked with me slowly down the aisle.

"What about these?" I pulled down a box of 40 bulbs that were all different colors. "They'd be nice until we have enough of the special ones to fill up the tree."

"I like those." He nodded a little with that cheeky grin on his face.

"What?" I put them in the cart with my head tilted back up, watching his eyes flicker down to my lips.

"I'm just really happy that you're so excited about Christmas."

"It's our first together. Of course I am." I pecked his lips, then hugged his arm. "You're sure you're not too tired to set this up tonight?"

"Absolutely not." Awsten shook his head. "Let's go to the special ones. They have to have a burrito of some sort."

"We got breakfast burritos that day though."

"A burrito is a burrito." He shot me one of his looks.

I let go of his arm and he dropped his hands from the cart.

We stood side by side, glancing at the fresh display or ornaments that somehow hadn't been picked through yet.

There were so many to choose from.

"Aw, baby. this is cute." Awsten reached up and picked up a ballerina in a pink tutu. "It's you."

"We have to get the guitar for you." I grabbed the red electric guitar ornament. "It'll match your hair soon."

"It will." He chuckled, sitting the ballerina beside the guitar I had put in the cart.

We found a sushi roll, somehow managed to find a burrito, a gingerbread house, one of those peppermint candies, and he really wanted they had from The Office.

"Wait," Awsten stopped, looking at what appeared to be an ornament of a champagne bottle. "Babe, this one has the year on it."

"The champagne bottle?"

"Yeah...but like our first tree...first Christmas...and it says happy holidays on it..."

"Okay, let's get it." I stood up on my tiptoes and kissed his cheek. "You know, I love how sentimental you are."

"You'll really love it for our anniversary."

"That's not for another like three months...Are you already planning?"

"I have some ideas." He hummed and put the dated champagne ornament in the cart. "Alright, let's go pick out some stockings. Are you...opposed to color? Like do you want white stockings?"
