"Thank you," I moved my hands up his arms, feeling every indentation of his muscles before hooking my arms back around his neck again. "You look so handsome."
"I am scruffy just like you asked and will be shaving immediately tomorrow...most of it."
"Most of it?" I frowned, standing up on my tiptoes and tilted my head back up.
"Don't worry about it." He chuckled. "You have a nice breakfast?"
"Mhm," I nodded and kissed him again. "Missed you though."
"I missed you." There we were lip locking again. "We've become one of those couples that people hate."
"Well I love it."
"I do too," He gave my hips a light squeeze. "Ready to go paint some stuff? I want to paint a gnome."
"A gnome?" I laughed at him and took his hand into mine, watching our fingers weave together, then grabbed my coffee. "Out of all the things, a gnome?"
"I thought it would be cute!"
"What if I paint a plate and put 'T + A' on it?"
"Oh man, okay, okay." He laughed and slipped his hand to the small of my back as we were walking out the door. "Maybe I'll find a gnome that's holding a heart and I'll write your name on it."
"Now that's cute." I kissed him one more time before grabbing my bag and keys by at the door.
"You look really pretty."
"Thanks." I laughed as he pulled me into him with his free hand that didn't have his coffee and pressed his lips to my cheek. "What's the vibe for dinner tonight?"
"Well since it's your birthday, I brought some nicer stuff to wear. I figured I'd just change my shirt."'
"I like these pants." I told him, looking at his brown corduroy. "I think I'm going to wear this black dress I have..."
"You're going to look good in anything." He said pressing the button for the elevator. "After dinner I thought we could come back here and I'll give you your presents and then we can do dessert before our final stop of the evening."
"Presents? You got me books."
"Baby," He laughed a little and tugged me into his side. "Those were two little small gifts. The rest are in my car. That is not everything I got you."
"Awsten!"
"Are you going to argue with me about the amount of presents I got you?"
"No," I sighed and rested my head on his shoulder momentarily. "I'd lose."
"That's correct. Good girl." He chuckled at my immediate blush and kissed the top of my head, then took my hand to pull me out of the elevator. "Any ideas what you want to paint?"
"I think I might paint a gnome too but paint him like you." I giggled a little as we walked. "I can give him a blue, pink, and yellow hair and maybe a white shirt with some black polka dots. Or that red sweatshirt you wear all the time."
"I would love to see you do that." He chuckled. "For lunch I was thinking about Benny's? We can go to the park and eat it?"
"That sounds nice, yeah." I nodded. "What would you do if you hadn't discovered Benny's because of me."
"I'd just be so lost." He rolled his eyes and unlocked his car.
"What time is the nail appointment?"
"Three, is that okay?"
"That's perfect." I nodded and reached up to run my fingers through his hair after we both got in the car. "What color are you going to do?"
"I hope they have like an iridescent color. You?"
