Awkward Heartstrings (HEARTSTRINGS SERIES-1)

Chapter -2

I know how hard she works, and I admire her dedication to her studies. Being a chartered accountant is a tough goal, but I believe she has what it takes to achieve it.

" Beta ,you were up late studying again? " Maa asks her while making her black coffee.

" Yes mumma you know how I always loose track of time" she answers sipping her coffee

"I know, I know," Aahana replies, a hint of annoyance in her voice. "I'll try to be more regular. But sometimes, the deadlines are just too tight."

"You can't compromise your health for studies," she insists. "You need to take care of yourself if you want to succeed."

Aahana sighs, "I know, Mom. I'll try to do better."

" Your mumma always worries about you kids ,and that's because she cares " papa tries to reason with me

"Thanks, Dad," Aahana said, rolling her eyes playfully.
"I know, I know. Mom's always worrying about me. It's sweet, really. I'll try to be better, I promise. I'll set a regular sleep schedule, and I'll make sure to eat on time. Maybe even take a short break every couple of hours to rest my eyes and clear my head."

She paused, a thoughtful look on her face. "You know, I think I might even try some meditation or yoga to help me relax and focus better. What do you think?"

" Okay everyone,iam getting late now I need to get going now"
"Okay, bye mom  Dad," I  said, waving goodbye. "Take care and have a good day at work! Don't forget to eat lunch on time.". Mom said handing me my lunch

" Bye Bhai , good luck on your meetings" Aahana said going back to her room.

" Thank You , sweetheart. Study hard but don't forget to rest. We'll talk later. And remember, your health is important. Don't push yourself too hard." I answered patting her shoulders.

" Also Reyansh, we need to talk about something, so as soon as you finish your work come back home. Don't be late okay ". Dad said

" Is everything okay? " I asked feeling weary

" Yeah just be on time " he anwered.

With that I left for office.

Between  Ravindra and Janaki

R-" Janaki, you remember Mr Singh, we met him at my business partners wedding last month"

J-" Yeah I do, what about him?"

R-"He has a daughter Aadya, and  I have asked her kundli for our Reyansh"

J-" But are you sure? You know Reyansh's nature. He is focused on business right now and we haven't brought up the topic of his wedding to him. You should have spoken to him before talking to Mr Singh."

R-" Janaki , you must know i wouldn't take such a huge decision on impulse. I have met her a couple of times during business meetings. She is the perfect girl for our Reyansh. And don't worry about Reyansh I'll talk to him".

J- " if you speak so highly of her, than she must be the one for our Reyansh. Let's hope things turn out well if their kundlis match "

R- " I have already sent their kundlis to Panditji( priest) "

J- " Okay let me know what does he have to say , so I'll make appropriate arrangements for later"

R- " Here, this is her bio data. Have look at it"

J- " Oh she is so pretty. They would look great together. Right?"

R- " she is even prettier in person and has a good heart".

J- " It feels like yesterday when they were kids and now we are talking about marriage "

R- " Time really flies. Once the pandit ji confirms I'll let you know so that we can go and meet the Singh's

Reyansh in the car

I wonder what does dad want to talk about. Although his face didn't give away anything. I don't think it's related to business. "Let's focus on the meeting first," I said, trying to shake off the worry. "We can think about Dad's call later.

Maybe it's just a work-related matter or something personal. Either way, let's finish this up quickly so we can head home. I'm exhausted and need some rest."

I tried to concentrate on the task at hand, but my mind kept wandering back to Dad's unusual behavior. His tone and demeanor were different from his usual self. I hoped everything was alright.

A/n: And that's Reyansh and a bit piece of his life. Let me know how it was and if i need some improvement. The next two chapters will also be separate for Aadya and Reyansh and they will meet in chapter 5 or not?. The only reason is I don't want to skip things and want all the details. Hope you all understand.
