Reyansh pov

The air crackled with anticipation as I raced towards the living room, Dad's booming voice echoing through the house, "Reyansh! Come here, I have some wonderful news!"

My heart hammered against my ribs, a mix of excitement and apprehension swirling within me. He was beaming, a mischievous glint in his eye that mirrored the excitement I felt bubbling inside.

"The Mishras," he began, drawing out the words, "have agreed to our proposal!"

My breath hitched. "You're serious?" I stammered, disbelief washing over me. Dad chuckled, that deep, resonant laugh that always put me at ease.

"Absolutely, son. They're thrilled, just as we are."

Relief washed over me, quickly replaced by a wave of joy so intense it took my breath away. Aadya... she's amazing. Intelligent, kind, with a laugh that could melt glaciers. The thought of spending my life with her, of building a future together, sent shivers down my spine in the most exhilarating way.

I could barely contain myself. My mind raced with a thousand thoughts – the wedding, our future home. I wanted to shout, to dance, to tell the whole world about this incredible news. But for now, I savored the moment, the quiet joy of knowing that my dreams were finally coming true.

"Oh my goodness, I'm absolutely thrilled! This is the best news I could have imagined! Aadya is such a wonderful girl, and I know she'll make Reyansh incredibly happy." My mother exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
"I know, right?" I replied, still buzzing from the news. "Dad just got off the phone with Mr. Mishra. They're ecstatic."

"I can only imagine," she said, her voice filled with warmth. "The Mishras are such a respectable family. And Aadya... she's kind, intelligent, and so beautiful inside and out."
"I know, Mom," I agreed, a wide smile spreading across my face. "I'm so lucky."

"You are, my son," she said, her voice softening. "You deserve all the happiness in the world." She paused, a thoughtful expression on her face. "Do you remember when you were a little boy, always playing pretend weddings with your stuffed animals?"
I chuckled. "How could I forget? I think I even tried to marry our dog once."

My mother laughed. "Yes, you did! And I remember thinking, 'Who will this mischievous boy marry someday?'"

"And now I know," I said, my voice filled with emotion. "I'm going to marry Aadya."

"And I couldn't be happier for you," she said, pulling me into a warm embrace. "I've always prayed for your happiness, Reyansh. And I know you'll build a beautiful life together."

I held her close, savoring the moment. The weight of my mother's love and support washed over me, a comforting wave of warmth. This was truly the happiest day of my life.

Reyansh stared at the ceiling, the faint hum of the city lights filtering through his window. Aadya. The name echoed in his mind, a melody both unfamiliar and strangely comforting. He hadn't expected her to agree so readily. In fact, he'd almost been relieved when he imagined her rejecting the proposal, a way out of this impending upheaval in his carefully structured life.

But she hadn't.

And now, a strange mix of emotions churned within him. There was apprehension, of course. The fear of the unknown, of disrupting the comfortable solitude he'd cultivated. He pictured her, a vibrant splash of color against the muted tones of his world, and wondered how their lives would intertwine.

He thought of her smile, the way her eyes crinkled at the corners when she laughed. He'd seen it briefly, a fleeting glimpse during the formal introduction, and it had somehow unsettled him. It was a smile that held a spark of mischief, a hint of rebellion, a stark contrast to the carefully controlled facade he presented to the world.

What would it be like, living with that spark?
Would it ignite something within him, or would it threaten to burn him to ashes?

He sighed, running a hand through his hair. This was uncharted territory. A leap of faith into the abyss. And for the first time in a long time, Reyansh felt a flicker of…anticipation.
The anticipation of the unknown. The anticipation of change.

The search bar felt strangely alive under my fingertips as I typed Aadya's name. My heart hammered against my ribs, a frantic drumbeat against the quiet hum of my apartment. What was I doing? Stalking her online? I scoffed at myself, but the cursor remained stubbornly still.

Finally, I hit enter. Her profile picture was a picture of her in a beautiful saree.

I hovered over the "Follow" button, my finger trembling slightly. What if she rejected my request? What if she thought I was a creep?
But the pull was too strong. I needed to know more.

With a shaky breath, I clicked the button.
And then, I waited. My heart pounded in my chest, a frantic drumbeat against the silence.
What had I just done?

My heart leaped into my throat. The notification chimed, a small but triumphant sound. Aadya had followed me back.

Scrolling through her feed, I felt a mix of excitement and trepidation. There were glimpses of her passions – baking intricate cakes, getting lost in a good book, exploring the world with a zest for life. Each photo offered a window into her soul, a soul that seemed both adventurous and grounded, a captivating contrast to my own structured existence.

A wave of curiosity washed over me. What would she think of me? Would she be disappointed by my predictable life, my carefully curated routine? Or would she find something interesting in the quiet corners of my world?

The thought sent a shiver down my spine, a thrilling mix of anticipation and apprehension.
I closed my phone , the image of her profile picture lingering in my mind. This unexpected connection had thrown my carefully constructed world off balance, and for the first time in a long time, I felt a flicker of excitement for the unknown.
