Reyansh Pov
I woke up this morning with a knot of worry in my stomach. Aadya's allergic reaction at the party last night had really shaken me. I hurried to her room. She was still in bed, looking a little pale.
"Aadya," I said softly, "how are you feeling this morning?"
She stirred and gave me a weak smile. "A bit better, thanks. The worst of it seems to have passed, but I'm still stuffy and itchy."
Relief washed over me, but I knew we weren't out of the woods yet. "That's good to hear, but are you sure? I was really worried last night. Do you have any idea what might have caused it?"
She thought for a moment.
"I'm not completely sure, but I have a suspicion. I had some trail mix at the party, the one with peanuts. I haven't had peanuts in ages, and I think I might have developed an allergy."
"That makes sense," I replied. "It's definitely possible. We'll keep a close eye on you today, and if anything changes, we're going straight to the doctor. No arguments."
"Okay," she agreed, her voice a little hoarse.
"Is there anything I can get you to make you feel more comfortable?" I asked. "Anything at all?""Actually," she said, "some warm tea would be amazing. Maybe ginger?"
"Ginger tea, absolutely," I said, already heading towards the kitchen. "It's supposed to be good for allergies. I'll make a fresh pot. Just stay put and relax."
"Thanks, Reyansh," she said. "You're the best."
"Don't mention it," I replied, grabbing the kettle. "I'm just glad you're feeling a little better. Just let me know if you need anything at all, even if it's just to chat.""I will," she promised. As I started preparing the tea, I couldn't help but replay the scene from last night in my head. It was so scary seeing her like that. I just hoped she'd be back to her old self soon.
A little while later, I returned to the bedroom with a steaming mug of ginger tea and a small plate of honey.
"Here you go," I said, placing them on her bedside table. "Careful, it's hot."
She sat up a little, propping herself up against the pillows. "Thanks," she murmured, taking a sip. "Mmm, this is good."
I sat beside her, taking her hand in mine. "I'm glad," I said.
"So, besides the stuffiness and itchiness, how are you feeling? Any other symptoms?"
Aadya took another sip of her tea. "Just a little tired, I think. And my throat feels a bit scratchy."
"Okay," I said, making a mental note. "Keep drinking the tea, it should help soothe your throat. And try to rest as much as possible. No screen time, no books, just pure relaxation."
She chuckled weakly. "Easy for you to say. You're not the one stuck in bed."
"True," I admitted. "But I'm here to keep you company. So, tell me, what kind of relaxation are we talking? Do you want me to put on some calming music? Or maybe we can just chat?"
Aadya thought for a moment. "Actually," she said, "chatting sounds nice. Tell me about your morning. Anything interesting happen?"
I smiled. "Not really. My morning revolved entirely around you. I was up early, checking my phone for any information on peanut allergies, just to be prepared. Then I rushed over here as soon as I could."
"You didn't have to do that," she said softly.
"I wanted to," I replied, squeezing her hand gently. "You're my wife, Aadya. Of course I was worried."
