A/n: The beginning of a new phase as aadya and reyansh embark on their journey together.
Aadya Pov
"Honey," Aadya's mother began, a thoughtful expression on her face, "I think we should definitely reach out to Reyansh's family soon to finalize the Roka ceremony. It's been a few days since our initial conversation, and I wouldn't want to keep them waiting any longer."
Aadya's father nodded in agreement, a warm smile gracing his lips. "You're absolutely right, dear. It's important to maintain the positive momentum we've built. Perhaps in the evening would be a good time to give them a call? That should give them ample time to check their schedules and availability."
Aadya's mother's eyes brightened. "That sounds like a wonderful plan! We could even suggest a few preliminary dates and times that work well for us to get the ball rolling. It would demonstrate our eagerness and show that we're truly invested in making this happen smoothly."
Aadya's father chuckled warmly. "Excellent suggestion. Of course, we must also be mindful of their schedules and preferences. We want to ensure that the chosen date and time are convenient for everyone involved."
Aadya's mother beamed. "I'm so excited! I can't wait to see how the conversation goes."
Phone call between Mr Mishra and Mr Singh
"Hello Mr. Singh, this is Mr. Mishra, Aadya's father. How are you doing?"
"Hello Mr. Mishra, I'm doing well, thank you. How are you and Mrs. Mishra?"
"We're doing fine, thank you. We were hoping to discuss the next steps in planning Reyansh and Aadya's Roka ceremony with you and Mrs. Singh. Would you be available for a brief conversation sometime soon?"
"Absolutely, Mr. Mishra. We'd be delighted to. When would be a convenient time for you?"
"Perhaps tomorrow evening would be suitable? Or perhaps sometime over the weekend? We're quite flexible."
"Tomorrow evening sounds good. Would 8 PM work for you, or would you prefer a different time?"
"8 PM works perfectly for us. I'll give you a call then."
"Sounds great. We look forward to speaking with you then, Mr. Mishra."
"Thank you, Mr. Singh. We look forward to it as well.""The Singhs are coming over for dinner tomorrow!" Mr. Mishra announced, a wide smile illuminating his face as he entered the room where Mrs. Mishra was engrossed in the newspaper.
Mrs. Mishra looked up, her brow furrowing slightly in surprise. "Oh, really? That's wonderful news! I'm so pleased. What did you discuss?"
Mr. Mishra settled into a chair beside her. "We spoke earlier this evening," he explained, "and we decided that it would be lovely to get together tomorrow to finalize the details for Aadya and Reyansh's Roka ceremony. I'm sure they'll have some wonderful input."
A delighted smile spread across Mrs. Mishra's face. "Excellent! I'll start planning the menu immediately. What would you like to have? Should we prepare your favorite mutton curry?"
Mr. Mishra chuckled.
"That sounds absolutely delicious, my dear. And don't forget Aadya's favorite dessert - the mango mousse."
Mrs. Mishra laughed. "Of course not. This is going to be a delightful evening."
The soft knock on my door startled me awake. "Aadya, come here for a moment, sweetheart," Maa called gently. I sat up, rubbing the sleep from my eyes. "Yes, Maa? Is everything alright?"
"Everything is wonderful, actually," Maa replied, a warm smile gracing her lips. "The Singhs are coming over for dinner tomorrow evening." My eyes widened in surprise. "Really? That's fantastic news, Maa! I'm so excited."
"Me too, darling," Maa said, her smile broadening. "We'll be discussing the finer details of your Roka ceremony. I'm sure you have some ideas, too." I nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, Maa! I do have a few things in mind. I'll try to jot them down before tomorrow."
Maa ruffled my hair affectionately. "That's my girl. Now, get some more rest. We have a big day tomorrow." I smiled, snuggling back into my pillows. "Goodnight, Maa. I love you."
"Goodnight, sweetheart. Sweet dreams." Maa leaned down and kissed my forehead before gently closing the door and leaving the room.
I lay back down, a wave of excitement washing over me. The Singhs! Tomorrow! The Roka ceremony! The thought sent a shiver of anticipation down my spine. I imagined the warm glow of the dining room, the sound of laughter and conversation, and the anticipation of this exciting new chapter in my life.Reyansh sent you a message
Reyansh: Hey Aadya, how are you doing?
Aadya: Hi Reyansh! I'm good, thanks. How are you?
Reyansh: I'm doing well, thanks. I'm so excited about our upcoming Roka ceremony!
Aadya: Me too! I can't wait.
Reyansh: Me neither. It feels a little surreal, doesn't it?
Aadya: It does! It's all happening so fast.
Reyansh: I know, right? It feels like just yesterday we were... well, you know.
Aadya: (Smiling) Yes, it does feel like that.
Reyansh: I was just thinking, have you given any thought to what you might wear?
Aadya: I've been thinking about it a little. I'm thinking something simple and elegant. Maybe a light colored lehenga. What about you?
Reyansh: I was thinking a kurta and pajama. Something comfortable but still festive.
Aadya: That sounds perfect.
Reyansh: I'm a little nervous about meeting your family again.
Aadya: Don't be nervous! They're really lovely.
Reyansh: I know, but still...
Aadya: Just be yourself. They'll like you.
Reyansh: I hope so.
Aadya: You'll do great.
Reyansh: Thanks, Aadya. I'm really looking forward to spending some time with you and your family.
Aadya: Me too. This is going to be a special day.
Reyansh: It definitely will be. By the way, my parents are meeting with yours tomorrow to discuss the finer details of the Roka.
Aadya: Oh, really? That's exciting! I wonder what they'll decide.
Reyansh: I'm curious too. I hope everything goes smoothly.
Aadya: I'm sure it will.
Reyansh: Well, I should let you go.
Aadya: Talk to you soon. The next morning, I woke up with a renewed sense of excitement. I spent the morning jotting down some of my ideas for the Roka ceremony: a color scheme of soft pastels, incorporating my grandmother's antique silver serving tray, and maybe even having a live musician play some soothing melodies during the evening. I was eager to share my thoughts with Maa and see what she and Papa, and of course, the Singhs, thought.
The doorbell rang, and I heard Maa's cheerful greeting. "Come in, come in! Please make yourselves comfortable." I could hear the murmur of voices as they entered the living room. I quickly freshened up and joined them, a nervous excitement fluttering in my stomach.
Mr. and Mrs. Singh greeted me warmly, and we exchanged pleasantries. "Aadya, you look lovely," Mrs. Singh complimented me, her eyes twinkling. "Thank you, Aunty," I replied, feeling a blush creep up my cheeks.
We settled into the living room, and the conversation turned to the Roka ceremony. Maa and Papa outlined their thoughts, and then it was my turn. I presented my ideas, my voice slightly trembling with nervousness.
To my surprise, everyone seemed to love my suggestions. Mr. Singh even offered to help with the arrangements, and Mrs. Singh suggested a few delicious dishes to include in the menu.
As the evening progressed, the atmosphere in the room grew warmer and more relaxed. We laughed, we shared stories, and we built a sense of camaraderie. I realized then that this was just the beginning of a beautiful journey, a journey filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. As the Singh's prepared to leave, I felt a sense of contentment washing over me. The excitement of the Roka ceremony had grown even stronger, but it was no longer just about the event itself. It was about the connections I was making, the bonds I was forming, and the beautiful future that awaited me.
So the next chapter will be their roka ceremony. Excited???? And after the roka we will have a little time skip otherwise it will be too long until their wedding.
Until then vote and comment
