Hey luvs!
So the meet the friends saga has ended and I think I did pretty good at them and passed the friends tests!! So here's how last night went down....
We met at quick check being that the bar was only minutes from there. When he arrived he motioned to me and I followed him in my car. He made sure to drive while keeping a good distance between us and when two cars got in the way he put on his hazards so that they could go around him. I thought that was so sweet because even though it's a simple gesture it shows he cares... Anyway we got there, went inside, and he realized he had left his wallet at home. I said that's ok but he wanted to have it on him so being that we were the first ones there he said we could stop back by his house to get it. His place was only about 5 minutes from the bar so it made sense, but he was a little anxious because he didn't want to be late. I calmed him down a bit and told him we still wouldn't be. I know he was going through a bit of anxiety with it all but it was kind of cute to see him a little disheveled. It's weird I know, but it's only because he always has it so together so to see him a little off and me having to help him a bit, was cute and endearing to me. It all worked out in the end though so it was cool. We still arrived back before the majority of people or the birthday boy arrived.
After receiving a sweet compliment from a lady at the bar, we found a table and he began to calm down. I pulled out lingo for us to play on my phone and we got so immersed that he didn't realize that the birthday boy arrived until I asked him and he looked around and said oh, there he is. From that moment on, it was allllll love. His best friend was super nice and appreciated that I got him a gift and a card. He said I didn't have to but I told him there was no way I would come to his birthday where I'm meeting him for the first time and not have a gift. He thanked me again and even read the card immediately. I didn't expect that but it was sweet and I'm glad he loved the positive words and encouragement I wrote in it about always following your dreams. I then met his best friends girl, his sister, tons of my boyfriends childhood friends and they were all super nice. It was especially great to see the interactions occur with my boyfriend and his friends.
As I've told you before, he always says he doesn't have that many friends but I beg to differ, because after going to both of these parties, I would say that he has a lot of friends. In addition, those friends don't seem superficial and their friendships go deep. So I get that he has to rekindle some of the connections, but they're definitely friends!! They showed him so much love and when watching him, it looked like he was genuinely happy and back in high school/college for a moment, living it up with his clique.
I was really happy that I was there and that I could be such a great representation of him. His friends thought I was pretty and sweet and it felt good to converse with them and get to know a few stories about him. We got offered to go a few places and I think he's going to take them up on a few of the invitations. I'm sure if they hadn't liked me, they wouldn't have been as forthcoming to invite me to everything as well, so that was good. Being an extension of him felt great, and I liked being in his world. It made me feel that in the future we could have additional activities to do with his friends and it would be super fun. It's interesting too because I've been to both best friends parties now and it's clear to see the distinction between them both, but the connection with him as the glue.
The fact that he has such close connections on both sides and those sides don't really connect is the interesting part because the time periods of them knowing one another overlap. One would think that they would end up being one big clique but the distinction between the two is definitely there. It is cool to see and I love it for him. I felt welcomed at both events and his friends seemed very genuine with the love they had for him and the fact that they knew that he deserved a good girl because he's such a good guy and that he had found that in me!! It touched my heart to receive their approval, even though it's not always necessary but to know that you can fit into your partner's life, feels good. Another validation for our possible future together if things continue on the great trajectory that they are.
So all in all, I had another amazing time, we got to mingle, play darts, and even had some intimate time at the end, which was beyond amazing!! So I'm looking forward to seeing him again in a few weeks to celebrate his Birthday and Valentine's Day and after that, we're off to Iceland!!! It feels so crazy to say that, but I'm truly elated!! Our future is truly so bright so "THANK YOU GOD FOR BRINGING THE RIGHT PERSON INTO MY LIFE!! I'M BEYOND GRATEFUL AND FEEL SO BLESSED!!
Ok luvs, you know I'll be back again with a new episode soon but until then, XOXO Bombshell Out!!
