Part 30

"You're my guest this weekend and I want to do the things you want to do in New York too."

"What else is by Joe's Pizza? Aren't there a lot of locations.l?"

"There are, but we could go to Greenwich and there's a location there. It's by SoHo and Washington Square Park, so we could get pizza and walk around a bit."

"When do we land again?"

"About five because of the time difference."

"We could do that then? Check into the hotel then go get pizza? Aren't we staying sort of close to SoHo?"

"Uh...it's like a 20 minute drive so not super close. Definitely not walking distance."

"Hmm, alright so we Uber. That sounds good. Did you want to do dinner with Fran and Ben on Friday night?"

"Did you?" I grinned at him, watching him pack his clothes in his suitcase.

"Sure. We can find a place. I think we should save ramen for you and I after the wedding."

"And I want to take you to my favorite breakfast sandwich place on Friday morning. I know you're not a breakfast person but it's the best."

"I can be a breakfast person when the time is right." He started putting his clothes in his suitcase. "We can do whatever you want."

"You keep saying that! I want to do what you want!"

"I'm just excited to be there with you. I'm going to have a good time no matter what."

"You're so smooth." I grinned up at him, laughing against his lips as he kissed me again.

"You sitting here is very distracting."

"Good." I murmured against his lips. "I'll stop being distracting now."

"Impossible." He shook his head, pressing his hand into my lower back as he kissed me one more time. "Alright! I'm focusing now so we can watch a scary movie before we go to bed."

I laid back down, scrolling a bit on my phone as he packed his bag, smiling to myself as I heard him humming every now and then.

"Alright, movie time. Come on." Except he hovered over me again with his hands on either side of my head.

"You're on top of me. I fear I couldn't even move if I wanted to."

"You could try."

"You are in such a mischievous mood tonight."

"I like to think of it as playful." He wiggled his eyebrows with his chain dangling between us.

"You're such a goof." I laughed and reached up for his face, pulling him down the rest of the way and kissed him. "Let's go watch that movie."

He helped me up and I followed him into his living room, plopping down next to him and grinned to myself as he tugged me back into his side:

We were on an early flight out to New York the next morning. We watched a movie to start, then I fell asleep on Awsten at one point - I think during the second movie.

We didn't do much Thursday night since we got in late. We went and got his Joe's pizza that he wanted so badly and walked around a bit, then passed out early from all the traveling.
