The day Taehyung's parents returned from their business trip was a lively one. Taehyung had prepared the house for their arrival, ensuring everything was perfect, and his heart swelled with happiness knowing they'd see Jungkook again. As soon as they entered, Taehyung's mom, Mrs. Kim, immediately spotted Jungkook sitting on the couch, quietly sipping his banana milk. Her face lit up, and she rushed over to him, pulling him into a gentle hug.
"Oh, Jungkookie! Look at you! Are you eating well? Are you taking care of yourself?" she asked, her voice full of warmth and concern.
Jungkook, who always felt a sense of parental love from the Kims, gave her a small smile. "Yes, Mrs. Kim," he replied softly.
"Mrs. Kim?!" she exclaimed, feigning offense. "How many times do I have to tell you? Call me Mom! You're our son too."
Jungkook's cheeks flushed, and he shyly nodded. "Yes... Mom."
Taehyung's father chuckled, patting Jungkook's head affectionately. "That's better. How have you been, son? You had us worried."
"I'm fine now. Thank you for asking," Jungkook replied politely.
Mrs. Kim turned her attention to Taehyung, her eyes narrowing. "And you!" she said, marching toward her son.
Taehyung immediately straightened up, sensing danger. "Yes, Mom?"
"Are you taking care of my Jungkook properly?" she demanded, placing her hands on her hips.
"Of course, I-"
Before he could finish, she grabbed his ear and twisted it gently. "You better be doing your best, Mr Kim Taehyung! If I find out you've slacked even a little-"
"Mom! Ow, ow! I'm doing my best, I swear!" Taehyung whined, squirming under her grip.
Jungkook couldn't help but giggle little softly at the sight, and the rest of their hyungs laughed openly. Mrs. Kim finally released Taehyung, muttering something about keeping an eye on him.
A little later, Taehyung went to fetch a fresh banana milk for Jungkook. He returned with it, crouching in front of Jungkook and cupping his face as he handed it to him. "Here you go, Kookie. Your favorite," he said, his voice tender.
Jungkook accepted it with a quiet "Thank you."
The room fell silent as Taehyung's parents and the hyungs watched the interaction. There was something so natural, so gentle in the way Taehyung cared for Jungkook that it left everyone a little stunned.
Mrs. Kim leaned toward her husband, whispering, "Have you ever seen Tae like this? He's so attentive."
Mr. Kim shook his head, smiling fondly. "Our boy has grown up. And it seems he's found someone very special."
As the day went on, Jungkook, now fully healed but still weak, decided to walk around the house slowly. However, after a while, he started feeling discomfort in his legs. He tried to hide it, not wanting to worry anyone, but Taehyung noticed immediately.
"Kookie, are you okay?" Taehyung asked, his brows furrowing in concern.
"I'm fine," Jungkook replied quickly, though his restless movements betrayed him.
Taehyung wasn't convinced. He stepped closer, his eyes searching Jungkook's face. "Kookie, don't lie to me. What's wrong?"
Jungkook hesitated before finally admitting, "My legs are a little sore."
Without another word, Taehyung guided Jungkook to the couch and knelt down in front of him. "You should've told me earlier," he scolded gently, his hands already massaging Jungkook's legs.
