The kitchen was filled with the warm aroma of spices as Jungkook stirred the pot, a soft smile playing on his lips. Mrs. Kim stood beside him, occasionally passing him ingredients and chatting animatedly about various recipes.
“You know, sweetheart, ever since you joined this family, the house feels warmer,” Mrs. Kim said, her eyes twinkling with affection.
Jungkook chuckled, shaking his head. “Eomma, you always say that. But I think it’s just Taehyung’s endless teasing that keeps the house lively.”
Mrs. Kim laughed but then noticed Jungkook’s expression shift. His brows furrowed slightly, and he placed a hand on his stomach. A sudden wave of nausea hit him, making his head spin. Before he could say anything, he rushed to the nearest bathroom, barely making it in time as he vomited. Mrs. Kim followed quickly, rubbing his back soothingly.
“kookie , are you okay?” she asked, concern lacing her voice.
Jungkook wiped his mouth and took a deep breath. “I don’t know... I’ve been feeling nauseous for a few days now.”
Mrs. Kim suddenly gasped, a wide smile spreading across her face. “Oh my God! Jungkook!” she squealed, pulling him into a tight hug.
Jungkook blinked in confusion. “Eomma, why are you so happy about me throwing up?” he pouted.
Mrs. Kim giggled, patting his cheek affectionately. “Sweetheart, I think you might be pregnant.”
Jungkook’s eyes widened. “W-What?”
Before Mrs. Kim could explain further, Jungkook’s phone rang. Seeing Taehyung’s name flash on the screen, he quickly answered, but as soon as he heard Taehyung’s voice, his emotions overflowed, and he started crying.
“Jungkook? Love, what happened?” Taehyung’s voice was filled with concern.
“Just come home, please,” Jungkook whispered between sniffles.
Without another word, Taehyung ended the call and bolted from his meeting, ignoring the stunned expressions of his colleagues. He drove home like a madman, his heart racing. As soon as he stepped inside, he was met with his parents’ mischievous smirks, but he ignored them, his only concern being Jungkook.
“Where’s Jungkook?” he asked urgently.
Mrs. Kim hummed playfully. “Oh, he’s in your room, waiting for you.”
Frowning, Taehyung rushed upstairs, pushing the door open to see Jungkook sitting on their bed, looking up at him with teary eyes. Without a second thought, Taehyung scooped Jungkook into his lap, holding him tightly. “Love, what’s wrong? Why were you crying?”
Instead of answering, Jungkook cupped his face and kissed him deeply, pouring all his emotions into the kiss. Taehyung was taken aback but melted into it, wrapping his arms around Jungkook’s waist. When they pulled away, Jungkook rested his forehead against Taehyung’s, a shy smile forming on his lips.
“I... I feel different, Tae. I’ve been craving weird food, feeling nauseous.
Taehyung frowned in confusion. “Okay…? So, should we go to the hospital? Maybe you caught a bug?”
Jungkook rolled his eyes and smacked his arm lightly. “Idiot. I’m pregnant.”
Taehyung nodded absently. “Yeah we’ll get you checked—” He suddenly froze, eyes widening as the words registered. His mouth opened and closed like a fish.
"I... I'm pregnant," Jungkook repeated softly, his hands resting on his stomach, his eyes searching Taehyung’s face for a reaction.
Taehyung blinked once. Twice. His mouth opened, but no words came out. His gaze flickered to Jungkook’s stomach, then back to his face. "You... you're what?"
Jungkook bit his lip, a shy yet emotional smile forming. "Pregnant, Taehyung. We're going to have a baby."
Still, Taehyung stared. Then, suddenly, he shot up from the bed, pacing back and forth while mumbling under his breath. "Pregnant? But how? No, I mean, I know how but—oh my God. Jungkook, we need to go to the hospital! We need to—"
Jungkook rolled his eyes, reaching out to grab Taehyung’s wrist and tugging him back down onto the bed. "Tae, sit. Breathe. I'm fine. We don’t need to rush to the hospital. I already took a test."
Taehyung’s eyes were still wide . "But—Are you sure? Like, absolutely sure? This isn't just some craving-induced dream, right?"
Jungkook chuckled, shaking his head. "I took three tests. All positive. And eomma suspected it before I even did."
Taehyung gasped dramatically, putting a hand over his chest. "My own mother knew before me? This is betrayal!"
Jungkook giggled at his husband's theatrics, but Taehyung suddenly became quiet, his hands trembling as he reached forward. "Jungkook... we’re going to have a baby?"Jungkook nodded, his own emotions catching up to him. "Yes, Tae. We are."
The moment those words sank in, Taehyung let out a choked laugh, his eyes glistening with unshed tears. He cupped Jungkook’s face gently, resting their foreheads together. "We're going to be parents," he whispered in awe.
Jungkook hummed, his heart swelling at the sheer happiness on Taehyung’s face. "Yeah, we are."
A tear slipped down Taehyung’s cheek before he suddenly kissed Jungkook—deeply, passionately, pouring all his overwhelming emotions into the moment. Jungkook melted into it, holding onto Taehyung’s shoulders as they breathed each other in. When they pulled away, Taehyung’s gaze dropped to Jungkook’s stomach. His hands trembled slightly as he hesitated before placing them gently over Jungkook’s stomach.
Jungkook felt his own tears gather as he saw the way Taehyung looked at him—at them—with so much love and devotion. "Tae..."
Taehyung leaned down, pressing his lips gently against Jungkook’s belly. "Hi, little one," he whispered against the skin. "I’m your papa. I promise I’ll love you and protect you with everything I have. I’ll take care of you and your amazing mama, forever."
Jungkook sniffled, running his fingers through Taehyung’s hair as he felt his husband's lips tremble against his skin. "Tae, you’re going to be the best dad."
Taehyung looked up, eyes still glassy, but his expression held nothing but unwavering determination and love. "And you’re going to be the most beautiful, incredible mom, Jungkookie."
Jungkook blushed at the words, warmth spreading through his chest. Taehyung pulled away slightly, his hands gently cradling Jungkook’s face. “I love you so much, Jungkook. I don’t think I could ever express just how much.”
Jungkook smiled, leaning into his touch. “Then show me every day.”
Taehyung grinned through his tears. “Oh, believe me, I plan to.” He placed a soft kiss on Jungkook’s forehead, whispering, “Thank you for giving me this happiness, love.”
Jungkook chuckled. “You might not think it’s all happiness when I wake you up at 3 AM for snacks.”
Taehyung laughed, rubbing his nose against Jungkook’s. “Anything for my baby and my wifey.”Taehyung leaned up, capturing his lips again before pulling him into a tight embrace, their hearts beating as one.
Outside, Downstairs, Mr. and Mrs. Kim exchanged a knowing glance, smiling at the love radiating from their son’s room. Their family was growing, and their happiness was only beginning. They whispered to each other, already planning ways to spoil their grandchild.
But inside the room, in their little bubble of love, it was just Taehyung, Jungkook, and the new life they had created together—a love that was growing in more ways than one..
