As weeks passed, Taehyung’s love and care for Jungkook only grew stronger. He made sure Jungkook never had to lift a finger, handling everything from cooking meals to tying Jungkook’s shoelaces. If Jungkook craved something at 3 AM, Taehyung would either make it himself or rush to buy it without hesitation. Every little complaint Jungkook made was met with Taehyung’s immediate attention, and if Jungkook even sniffled, Taehyung would panic like the world was ending.
One day, Jungkook sat on the couch, his feet propped up on pillows, frowning at his swollen ankles. "Tae, why is my body betraying me? Look at my feet! They look like balloons!"
Taehyung, who had just walked into the room, gasped dramatically before kneeling in front of Jungkook. "How dare they?! My beautiful baby deserves the most perfect feet. I will personally give them the best treatment." He took Jungkook’s feet into his lap and started massaging them gently. "Does that feel better, my love?"
Jungkook melted at the feeling. "Mmm... You're too good to me."
Taehyung smirked. "Of course. My only mission in life is to make you happy."
Jungkook narrowed his eyes playfully. "Then why did you eat the last bite of my cake yesterday?"
Taehyung gulped. "Uh… I was taste-testing it for poison?" He gave a sheepish smile.
Jungkook gasped and threw a pillow at him. "Liar! You just wanted it for yourself!"
From the doorway, Mrs. Kim and Mr. Kim watched their son being scolded with amused smiles. "Looks like our Taehyungie has finally met his match," Mrs. Kim whispered to her husband.
Taehyung sighed dramatically. "Okay, okay! I admit it! I took the last bite, but I’ll make it up to you! I’ll bake you another cake right now."
Jungkook huffed but then softened, reaching out to tug Taehyung close. "Just stop being so cute. It's hard to stay mad at you."

Time skipJungkook is now six months pregnant, he fell asleep early, exhausted from the day. Taehyung lay beside him, resting his head against Jungkook’s belly. With a soft smile, he gently caressed the bump.
"Hey, little one," Taehyung whispered. "It’s your papa. I hope you're comfy in there. I just wanted to tell you that I already love you so much. More than anything in the world. And you know what? Your mommy is the most amazing person ever. He’s strong, kind, and so beautiful. I can't wait for you to meet him. We’re going to be the best family."
Jungkook stirred slightly, but Taehyung didn’t notice. He continued, his voice filled with warmth. "I promise to take care of you both. I promise to protect you, to love you, and to make you laugh every day. You’ll always have a safe and happy home with us."
Jungkook, who had woken up halfway through, blinked back tears as he listened. He quickly grabbed his phone and started recording. Watching Taehyung like this—so deeply in love, so tender—made his heart ache in the best way possible.
Taehyung placed a soft kiss on Jungkook’s belly. "Sleep well, little one. We’ll be waiting for you."
Jungkook sniffled, causing Taehyung to look up. "You’re awake?"
Jungkook nodded, wiping his eyes. "You’re too precious, Kim Taehyung. I don’t deserve you."
Taehyung pulled himself up and cupped Jungkook’s face. "You deserve the whole world, Jungkook."
Jungkook pulled him into a deep kiss, pouring every ounce of love he had into it. When they finally pulled away, Jungkook smiled. "You’re going to be the best dad."
