Taehyung had transformed over the last five years. The warm, playful man who once cherished slow mornings and endless conversations had become the most feared CEO in the business world. His company was at the top, his influence unmatched, and his employees knew better than to cross him. It wasn't that he had changed entirely—he was still the same Taehyung with Jungkook and his son —but in the office, he was ruthless. His secretary position was practically cursed; no one lasted long under his sharp gaze and relentless expectations.

"How many times do I have to repeat myself?!" Taehyung's voice thundered through the office as he slammed a file on his desk. His secretary stood trembling in front of him. "I asked for the revised report by noon! It's past two!"

"S-Sir, I was just—"

"You're fired," Taehyung cut her off coldly, rubbing his temple in frustration.

The moment she hurriedly left, the employees outside the office exchanged fearful glances. His anger was legendary. No one dared to approach him when he was like this. The manager sighed, already knowing the only person who could handle the CEO’s temper.

With a knowing shake of his head, the manager picked up his phone and dialed a number.

"Hello Mr. Jeon?" the manager spoke carefully over the phone.

"Manager Kim?" Jungkook answered, wiping paint from his hands as he sat in his art studio.

"It’s happening again. CEO Kim just fired another secretary."the manager explained with a nervous chuckle.

Jungkook groaned, already knowing where this was going. “Again? This is the third one this month. How bad is it? ”

"Bad. He’s in his angry mode, and the office feels like a war zone sir. It would be greatly appreciated if you could, um, calm him down,” the manager suggested hesitantly.

Jungkook laughed softly. “I’m on my way.”

Thirty minute later, Jungkook stepped into the building, employees visibly relaxed. His presence alone seemed to bring an air of comfort. The manager greeted him warmly.

“Good luck, sir,” he murmured before leading him to Taehyung’s office.

Without knocking , He stormed inside revealing an annoyed yet strikingly beautiful Jungkook, his arms crossed, sending a glare toward Taehyung, who sat at his desk, clearly still fuming.

At the sight of his wife , Taehyung’s expression softened just slightly, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Oh? Mrs. Kim is here to scold me?" he teased, leaning back in his chair.

Jungkook rolled his eyes and walked over, standing in front of him. "What the hell, Taehyung? Another secretary? How many does that make this month?"

Taehyung pouted, acting innocent. "I didn’t fire her. I just gave her a… vacation."

Jungkook squinted. "Don’t lie to me, Kim Taehyung." He reached out and twisted Taehyung’s ear.

Taehyung winced. "Ow, ow, baby, I swear it was necessary!"

Jungkook sighed and let go. “You’re impossible.”

Before he could pull away, Taehyung grabbed his wrist and tugged him onto his lap, wrapping his arms tightly around his waist. Jungkook instinctively placed his hands on Taehyung’s shoulders, feeling the tension in them.

“You work too hard,” Jungkook murmured, brushing his fingers against Taehyung’s jaw.

Taehyung exhaled deeply, resting his head against Jungkook’s chest. “I have to. I have to protect everything I built. Everything for you and our son.”
