Ailee || Like A Moth To A Flame

Laying back on an exam table with a pillow under the back of her head, Greenlee was being treated for the bruise on her forehead. After what this person almost did to Mary's IV, Greenlee wasn't going to let her mother get killed but there was a good chance she could have been killed too. Aidan and Kendall were in the room watching but waiting for Greenlee to wake up, but they knew this was going to happen again unless proper protection took place. Suddenly Greenlee opened her eyes causing sigh of relies for both Aidan and Kendall.

Kendall – Thank god you're awake Greenlee.

Greenlee – Wha...what...what happened? Where am I?

Greenlee started to sit up slowly but groaned, feeling the pain on her forehead and rubbed it with her hand

Greenlee – Ouch, why does my head hurt? Oh my god, wait... where's mom? Is she alright?

Aidan – Relax Greenlee, take it easy on yourself. Your mom is resting, there is a police officer outside guarding her room.

Kendall – He's right, your mom is going to be okay.

Greenlee scoffed.

Greenlee – Easy for you to say, Erica isn't the one fighting for her life in that hospital bed while a mad tried to kill her.

Kendall's phone rang causing her to take it out and look at the caller ID.

Kendall – It's Zach, I need to take this. Stay with her Aidan, please?

Aidan – Of course.

Kendall leaves the room to where it was just Aidan and Greenlee.

Aidan – Did you get a good look at the guy?

Greenlee – No, I was knocked out thanks to him. What's being done to put a stop to this?

Aidan – Like Kendall mentioned, there's a police officer at your mom's room always until she's medically cleared to be released.

Greenlee – Then what?

Aidan – Then once that happens, she'll have a police officer to wherever she goes but I take it she'll be with you most likely. As far as who's responsible, Anna and Di are looking into as we speak.

Greenlee – That's NOT enough Aidan, for all we know this person, man or woman is after me, my mom and maybe Kendall too. Something needs to be done to stop this, or someone is going to get hurt or even worse killed.

Aidan – I won't let that happen Greenlee, you have my word on it luv.

Aidan took Greenlee's hand and gave it a soft squeeze as she looked up into those reassuring eyes of his. It reminded her of times when she doubted a situation Greenlee was involved in or not, but Aidan always made Greenlee believe that everything would be fine as long as he handled it. At the same time, would it be too much for him to handle in the long run to protect his loved ones?

In the security room of the hospital, Anna was looking through the monitors to try and see the identity of the person who tried to kill Mary Smythe. It was a good thing that there were screens like this used in hospital and other places, otherwise those like the alleged serial killer Anna, Aidan and Di are trying to catch would commit more dangerous murders. As Anna continues scanning through the monitors Di comes into the room.

Di – Already spoke with police and there's an officer at Mary's door. No one except for medical staff, law enforcement which consists of me, you, Aidan, the police and even Greenlee, is allowed to come into Mary's room.

Anna – Good, at least we got that part covered. Now we can move onto the next part.

Di – So what are we looking for when it comes to our suspect?

Anna – From what we saw, it was a someone dressed up in scrubs.

Di – How did she get into the hospital though?

Anna – Simple, a bogus ID that looked real enough to pass through for clearance which was good enough to fool security.

Di – Well that makes sense, how is Greenlee by the way?

Anna – I just got a text from Aidan telling me she recovered and is waking up which is a good sign. When Aidan and I got there our suspect ran down the hall and out of the hospital, I tried catching up, but it was too late.

Di – Don't be too hard on yourself, we'll get the son of a bitch.

Anna – Wait, I think I found him....no wait...

Anna leans in and points at the one screen where it showed someone running out of Mary's room and the face.

Di – That's a female.

Anna – Who is it?

Di – I'm not sure but she's our main suspect who tried to kill Mary. Would Aidan know who she is?

Anna takes out her cell phone.

Anna – I'll have to ask him to come to the security room, he's with Greenlee and Kendall right now.

Anna leaves the room to take her phone call with Di looking at the woman in scrubs.

Di – Sooner or later...were coming for you.

Di's cell phone then rings as she answer it.

Di – Hello.... hello....

Voice – You come after me...and I will make you pay for it....

Di was going to say something but then the caller hung up. It gave Di a weird but uncomfortable feeling, was that the person who tried to hurt Mary and killed others? Shaking her head Di sat down on the chair across from the monitors so she could process what happened before and after the call but still had questions.
