Ailee || Like A Moth To A Flame

In the interrogation room at the local police department in Paris, Greenlee watches one of the detectives who was investigating the shooting of the officer who guarded her hotel room leave. Sighing in relief, Greenlee was glad that part of it was over, but she knew deep down it's not until the officer who's recovering at the hospital was stable. Leaning back, Greenlee leans her head and rubs her forehead while Trey watches her after the detective left. Knowing Greenlee for so long until he went to jail, he would do anything he could to help her.

Trey – Well that went swell.

Greenlee – Oh yeah, it sure went swell for someone who looks guilty already Trey. The detective knows I am not telling the truth.

Trey – The only people who know the truth are you and whatever name is including the police officer Greenlee, that's it.

Greenlee – Her name is Kat, Aidan's ex-girlfriend.

Trey – And Aidan knows her, correct?

Greenlee – Of course he does Trey, this all started with him Trey and it's  his fault the entire situation just got out hand.

Trey sits down across from Greenlee at the table.

Trey – I don't think he wanted any of this to happen Greenlee, at the end of the day we all want to help you.

Greenlee – You guys want to help me? Make sure I get bail and a lawsuit ready just in case they try something stupid on me. I'm not a fan of cops.

Trey chuckled.

Trey – I know you're not Greenlee, but at least you can trust me. All they need is the official word from the officer that guarded your room before Kat intervened and if it matches your statement then there's nothing to worry about.

Greenlee – Wish I could have your confidence, but I believe you Trey. It's still amazing to see you after all this time after what happened the last time.

Trey – The last time is in the past; all I am focused on is helping you through this. It's not just for you, but also for Leo.

Trey puts his hand on top of Greenlee's to which she responds by rubbing the side of her hand with her thumb.

Greenlee – Thank you Trey, it means a lot.

Smiling a bit at him, Greenlee noticed near the corner of her eye that someone else was watching them through the blinds glass window of the interrogation room. Of course it was Aidan, keeping an eye on the two but Greenlee couldn't face him or see him right now. She's still upset at him for this now that his ex-lover is involved in this mess just to get back at the spy. But there was a big positive though, Greenlee had someone on her side she could trust in Trey, the brother of Greenlee DuPres and David Hayward.

Peeking through the blinds, Aidan noticed Greenlee and Trey talking but he knew Greenlee was ignoring him if she caught Devane's attention. Aidan was glad though that Trey is there for Greenlee as a lawyer but it felt so suspicious to be here the moment the incident happened with his former flame. Did Aidan believe Kat is behind this part to get back to her ex? No, but something was off with Trey though he had to keep an eye on him and see what he brings. Suddenly he felt a hand on his shoulder snapping him out of his thoughts.

Di – Aidan?

Aidan turns and notices Di behind me.

Aidan – Di, I didn't see you there.

Di – Everything okay?

Aidan shrugged his shoulders before he rubbed the back of his head.

Aidan – I guess, Trey's in there with Greenlee and we still haven't caught Kat yet.

Di – Hey, don't beat yourself up over what Greenlee said. I'm sure she's just upset and scared of what Kat did.

Aidan – She has a right to be pissed off at me.

Di – No she doesn't, just because Kat is killing and harming people doesn't mean your responsible for what she did Aidan.

Aidan – Of course, you're right. I just wish we could stop Kat before she harms another innocent victim.

Di – And we will, Anna right now is covering leads with the police based on what other contacts she has. In the meantime, how about we do something different?

Aidan – I'm all ears.

Di – Let's get out of here, find the nearest bar and have some drinks to settle down before we come back here for any new updates.

Aidan – I don't know if that's a good idea Di...

Di – Oh come on Aidan, it'll be like old times.

Aidan looks back at Greenlee and then back at Di as he smiles a bit then shrugs his shoulders.

Aidan – Alright, alright, besides I do need a bit of buzz to forget about what happened not too long ago.

Di smiles and puts her arm around Aidan.

Di – Perfect, come on now Agent Devane, let's have some fun!

Grabbing his hand, Aidan felt Di pull him and have her arm around his waist causing him to crack a smile. Both leave the squad room of the police department before they make their leave. Back in the interrogation room Greenlee was talking to Trey but then she noticed Aidan wasn't near the window anymore. It looks as if he left Di but the way she had her arm around his waist made Greenlee feel as if something was about to happen between them. Shaking her head to forget about Aidan, Greenlee then keeps her attention to Trey.
