The night air was crisp as William Jakrapatr slipped into the backseat of his black sedan, the faint glow of city lights reflecting off the tinted windows. The event had been a whirlwind—flashing cameras, excited fans, and endless conversations. Though he’d left slightly earlier than most, he wasn’t in a rush to go.

Instead, he leaned back in his seat, eyes casually scanning the venue entrance through the slightly rolled-down window. He was waiting.

For Est Supha.

William wasn’t sure when this habit started—maybe it was after their first project together, or perhaps after too many late nights spent joking around behind the scenes. Whatever the reason, he always made sure Est got into his car safely.

And sure enough, there he was—Est, deep in conversation with a staff member as he walked toward the waiting vehicles. William watched as Est nodded at whatever was being said, a soft chuckle escaping his lips.

Except there was one problem.

Est wasn’t heading to his car.

He was heading straight for William’s.

William barely had time to react before the car door swung open, and Est, still caught up in his conversation, slid in without looking—straight onto William’s lap.

“Ah—what the—” William’s breath hitched as the unexpected weight settled on him.

“Yeah, yeah, I’ll check my schedule—” Est continued, still speaking into his phone as he shifted, trying to get comfortable—on William.

William stiffened, hands instinctively hovering near Est’s waist as the realization sank in.

This was not Est’s car.

And Est was not sitting on an empty seat.

Finally, Est ended his conversation, sighed in exhaustion, and leaned back—only to freeze when he felt the warmth beneath him. His head snapped around, eyes meeting William’s stunned face in the dim light of the car interior.

“…William?”

William raised an eyebrow. “Wrong car, Supha.”

Est blinked, then slowly looked down. The moment he realized exactly where he was sitting, his entire body went rigid.

“Oh—oh my God—” Est practically launched himself off of William, scrambling to the opposite side of the car like he had just been electrocuted. “What—why didn’t you say anything?!”

William, still slightly stunned, let out a chuckle. “I was in shock. Kind of hard to speak when someone drops onto you.”

Est groaned, burying his face in his hands. “This is humiliating.”

William smirked. “It’s kind of funny.”

“It’s not funny,” Est grumbled, face still burning. “I just sat on you like a clueless idiot—wait, why are you still here? You left first!”

William hesitated for a second before shrugging. “I was waiting for you.”

That made Est pause. His embarrassment faded just a little as he looked at William, his expression softer now.

“…Oh.”

William cleared his throat, suddenly feeling a bit self-conscious. “Just wanted to make sure you got to your car safe.”

Est stared at him for a moment before a small smile tugged at his lips. “Well, mission not accomplished, since I got into the wrong car.”

“True,” William admitted, chuckling. “But at least I know you’re safe now.”

Est shook his head, still smiling as he reached for the door handle. “You’re impossible, Jakrapatr.”

William just leaned back, watching as Est finally made his way—to the right car this time. And only when he saw Est’s vehicle pull away did William tell his driver to take him home, a quiet smile still lingering on his lips.
