Izaan rolled his eyes. "Shut up and open the damn door."

Kabir chuckled. "Well, firstly, I'm not wearing a shirt, so I can't."

Izaan groaned. "You have a pathetic sense of humor."

Kabir sighed dramatically. "Kya karu meri jaan, jaise bhi hoon tera hi hoon."

("What can I do, my love? No matter how I am, I am yours.")

Izaan scoffed. "Mera hone ki koi zaroorat nahi. I'm not interested in you."

("There's no need to be mine. I'm not interested in you.")

Kabir feigned hurt. "That hurts, you know."

Izaan huffed. "Darwaza khol raha hai ya nahi?"

("Are you opening the door or not?")

Kabir smirked. "It depends."

"On what?" Izaan asked, exasperated.

"If I get to know the details about your date."

Izaan smirked. "Open the door, Kabir, varna I'm afraid mujhe Saltanat ko inform karna padega ki kaise aaj ek female fan tere liye 'I love you Kabir' ka banner leke khadi thi, and you gave her a flying kiss."

("Open the door, Kabir, otherwise, I'm afraid I'll have to inform Saltanat about how a female fan was standing with an 'I love you Kabir' banner for you today, and you gave her a flying kiss.")

He didn't have to complete the statement.

The door swung open, and Izaan was met with a glaring Kabir.

Izaan cut the call and stepped inside with a victorious smirk.

Kabir pointed a finger at him. "Dare you agar Ghazi ko kuch bhi pata chala-I'm gonna kill you."

("Dare you if Ghazi finds out anything-I'm gonna kill you.")

Izaan grinned. "Well, yeh toh uss ladki ko flying kiss dene se pehle sochna chahiye tha na?"

("Well, you should have thought about that before giving that girl a flying kiss, right?")

Kabir groaned. "It was harmless, and you know very well ki main Ghazi se kitni mohabbat karta hoon."

("It was harmless, and you know very well how much I love Ghazi.")

That much was true.

Kabir could be a harmless flirt and enjoy his mischief, but his love for Saltanat was undeniable.

Izaan smiled knowingly. "Yeh darr mujhe accha laga. Don't worry, your secret is safe with me."

("I like this fear. Don't worry, your secret is safe with me.")

Kabir rolled his eyes. "Thode din aur ruk jaa, phir yahi darr tere andar bhi hoga. Aaliya, right?" He winked at him.

("Stay a few more days, then you'll have the same fear inside you. Aaliya, right?")

Izaan said nothing, but the slight twitch of his lips was all the confirmation Kabir needed.

The stadium buzzed with anticipation as the Indian cricket team took to the field.

Today wasn't just another match-it was Izaan's debut as captain.

The weight of the responsibility sat heavy on his shoulders, but he knew he had prepared for this moment.

He trusted his skills, his instincts, and most importantly, his team.

Taking a deep breath, he rolled his shoulders to shake off any lingering nerves.

Just then, Kabir walked up behind him and patted his back.

"Don't worry, you'll do well," he said with a reassuring smile. "I believe in you."

Izaan turned to look at his long-time friend, a small smile forming on his lips.

The belief in Kabir's eyes strengthened his resolve.

He gave a firm nod. "Let's do this."

The entire team gathered in a tight huddle, their arms wrapped around each other's shoulders.

"Play for each other, for the team and for the country," Izaan said, his voice steady yet commanding. "No matter what happens, we fight together."

A collective cheer erupted from the players as they broke the huddle, gearing up for the game.

In the medical room, Aaliya sat in front of the TV screen, her eyes glued to the game.

She wasn't particularly a cricket enthusiast, but as the physiotherapist for the team, it was part of her job to stay informed.

At least, that's what she told herself.

But deep down, she knew she was watching the game for Izaan.

Every time the camera panned to him-adjusting the field, talking to his bowlers, exuding a calm confidence-she felt an inexplicable rush of pride gushing through her.

She wasn't sure why, but seeing him lead with such poise, making strategic decisions, and handling the pressure so effortlessly, made her heart flutter.

It was a close game, but the Indian team played like a well-oiled machine.

Izaan's captaincy shone as he set precise field placements, his strategies falling into place.

Kabir, as always, delivered when it mattered the most, smashing a century.

Izaan himself played a crucial innings, scoring a half-century and stabilizing the game when needed.

And then, the moment arrived.

With the final wicket of New Zealand falling, the Indian team erupted in celebration.

The Test series was theirs.

The players jumped in joy, embracing each other, while the coach clapped with pride.

Izaan, drenched in sweat, was grinning ear to ear.

His teammates ruffled his hair, patting his back and chanting his name.

His first series as a captain-won.

Aaliya watched from the screen, her chest swelling with an emotion she couldn't quite name.

Seeing him like this-his face glistening with happiness, his eyes alight with triumph-was a sight to behold.

She was mesmerized.

And, for reasons unknown, her heart fluttered again.
