Days were passing, but something was changing-Izaan was changing.

His feelings for Aaliya were no longer just fleeting thoughts; they were growing, consuming, and undeniable.

He hadn't spoken a word about it, but his gestures, his gaze, his silent intensity-they all screamed what he never said aloud.

And Aaliya?

She wasn't oblivious to it.

Every time his eyes found her, her heart would flutter.

Every time his gaze darkened with something unspoken, she would shudder.

His presence was overpowering, making her feel things she wasn't ready to accept.

She was shy, and a little afraid-afraid of what these feelings meant, afraid of where they would lead.

But someone else had noticed too.

Murtaza Mir Gilani-Izaan's Dadu, a man of wisdom and experience, had seen his grandson stealing glances at Aaliya far too often.

He had watched him stare, his expressions shifting between longing and confusion.

And with years of experience, he knew exactly what was going on.

So, one evening, he called Izaan to his room.

Izaan entered, slightly confused. "Aapne bulaya, Dadu?"

("Did you call me, Dadu?")

Murtaza nodded, his sharp eyes studying his grandson. "Haan, kuch baat karni thi tumse."

("Yes, I wanted to talk to you about something.")

Izaan sat beside him. "Ji, kahiye?"

("Yes, please go ahead.")

Murtaza leaned back, his tone casual but his words weighty. "Hum soch rahe hain ki ab waqt aa gaya hai ki tumhari shaadi ke baare mein socha jaaye."

("I was thinking that it's time to start considering your marriage.")

Izaan's breath hitched. Marriage?

No.

He couldn't let that happen.

"Dadu, mujhe abhi shaadi nahi karni." His voice was firm.

("Dadu, I don't want to get married right now.")

Murtaza arched a brow. "Kyun?"

("Why?")

Izaan exhaled sharply, running a hand through his hair. "Abhi main taiyaar nahi hoon."

("I'm not ready yet.")

Murtaza's eyes twinkled with amusement. "Tum khud taiyar nahi ho... ya kisi ka intezaar hai?"

("Are you not ready yourself... or are you waiting for someone?")

Izaan's jaw clenched. "Aisa kuch nahi hai."

("It's nothing like that.")

Murtaza chuckled. "Bete, sab samajhte hain hum. Jaante hain ki janab ki nigahein aaj kal kahan rehti hain."

("Son, I understand everything. I know where your eyes have been these days.")

Izaan avoided his gaze, suddenly very interested in the floor.
