Subhaan stepped into Shah Mansion, his body tense and his mind restless.
He had just returned from a place filled with blood and violence, and all he wanted was to see Junnon, to assure himself that she was safe, untouched by the darkness he had embraced.
But as he entered their room, his breath hitched-she wasn't there.
Panic surged through him instantly.
His eyes darted around the room, searching for any sign of her.
"Junnon?" he called out, his voice echoing in the silence.
Nothing.
His heartbeat quickened as he turned on his heels and ran out of the room.
Descending the stairs two at a time, he yelled her name again.
"Junnon!"
His voice rang through the vast halls of the mansion, but there was no response.
His desperation only grew as he searched frantically, his eyes scanning every corner.
His parents, startled by his outburst, looked at him in confusion.
Hania frowned and stepped forward. "Kya baat hai, bachche? Aise chilla kyun rahe ho?"
("What's the matter, child? Why are you shouting like this?")
Subhaan, breathing heavily, turned to her. "Ammi, Junnon kahan hai?" he demanded, his voice rough with worry.
("Ammi, where is Junnon?")
She furrowed her brows. "Kamre mein hogi," she said simply, unaware of the storm brewing inside him.
("She must be in the room.")
Frustration bubbled up, and he raised his voice. "Nahi hai, Ammi!"
("She's not there, Ammi!")
Ramiz immediately stood up, his authoritative presence filling the room. "Subhaan, yeh kya tarika hai apni Ammi se baat karne ka?"
("Subhaan, is this any way to talk to your Ammi?")
Subhaan's eyes widened, realizing his mistake.
He turned to his mother, guilt evident in his expression.
"I'm so sorry, Ammi," he said quickly, his voice softer now. "Main aapse badtameezi nahi karna chahta tha."
("I didn't mean to be disrespectful to you.")
Hania sighed and held his hand. "It's okay, par tum itne pareshaan kyun ho?"
("It's okay, but why are you so worried?")
"Ammi, Junnon kahan hai?" he asked again, desperation thick in his tone. "Main kabse usse dhoond raha hoon."
("Ammi, where is Junnon? I've been looking for her for so long.")
Hania studied her son's face, noting the sheer worry in his eyes.
It wasn't just concern-it was something deeper.
Desperation.
Longing.
And maybe... love?
A soft smile graced her lips as she said, "Garden mein dekha tha, shayad vahan ho."
("I saw her in the garden, maybe she's there.")
Subhaan didn't waste a second.
He nodded and sprinted toward the garden, his heart pounding in his chest, hoping-praying-to find her there.
