"Aren't you glad you have a drawer now?"
"Yeah." I admitted, slowly scooting to the edge of the bed and stared at my ankle.
"Here," His voice was still raspy as he walked back over to me. "Do you want to try and stand on it?"
"Yeah," I took his hands, letting him pull me up and put all my weight on my right foot as I stood up, then touched it to the ground and winced a little. "It's not as bad."
"If I have to carry you, I can."
"I'm really putting those arm muscles to work." I teased a little, eyeing the drawer with my stuff in it and let go of his hands. "I want to try to walk on it."
"Alright."
I limped a little as I walked over and managed, opening up the drawer and pulled out a plain white cropped t-shirt and a pair of forest green sweatpants.
"I like those sweatpants on you." He hummed and ran his hand through his hair. "You're okay to walk?"
"Yeah, I think so." I nodded and took off his t-shirt I was wearing, then put on the shirt I had just pulled out. "It's just tender and stiff."
"I think that's a good sign." He nodded, then turned to go to his bathroom. "I really have to piss."
"I love that you announced that." I laughed a little and plopped back onto the edge of his bed to shimmy out of the pants I had slept in and put on the green sweatpants.
He was pissing with the door wide open - so I guess that's where we were at in our relationship.
I heard the water running after he flushed and I went to my dance bag, digging for the extra mascara and eyeliner I kept in there for backup - because once again I had nothing else on me since I wasn't supposed to be here yesterday.
I joined him in the bathroom to brush my teeth, catching him eyeing me out of the corner of mine and laughed a little as he spit out his toothpaste into the sink.
"You look cute."
"In this?" I said with my toothbrush in my mouth.
"Mhm." He nodded, squeezing me from behind in his arms and kissed the side of my head. "I'm going to get dressed and we can go."
"Mkay." I hummed, still brushing my teeth and rinsed out the sink again after, brushed my hair, then put on eyeliner and mascara before I met him back in his room to see him putting on a long sleeve shirt. "I love that shirt on you."
"Yeah?" He asked, slipping his rings on his fingers. "My hair looks crazy, doesn't it?"
"A little."
"Hat it is." He nodded once, walking to his wall and grabbed his sunflower hat off of a hook. "I'll carry your bag. You're sure you can walk?"
"Yeah, I'll have a little bit of a limp, but I can."
"Alrighty," He grabbed my bag off the floor, then slipped his arm around me. "Lean on me if you have to, and if it starts to hurt let me know."
I nodded and let him lead me out of the apartment. I definitely was not walking as fast as I normally would, but he was so patient.
When we got to his car, he put my car in the backseat, then opened up the passenger door and helped me inside.
"You're okay?"
"Yeah." I nodded quickly, my ankle throbbing slightly again, but not nearly as much as last night.
"Promise?"
"I promise." I nodded, leaning into his lips as he kissed my forehead.
"Coffee time for both of us."
