My Saviour

(Lucy's POV)

She came over with the tray and put it on the table next to where i was lay "i'm scared"i whispered to zoe "i know but you got this darling"she said holding my hand "okay i'm just gonna clean the wound first okay"Bailey said i nodded.

She cleaned it then i saw her wipe my arm "i
don't want to have any needles"i told them
"i know but this is to help you lucy it won't last
long i promise and you'll barely feel it"Bailey
told me.

I squeezed Zoe's hand and held my eyes closed
"i'm going to do the local anaesthetic now"i
heard bailey say i felt a big sharp prick on my arm
i shudder and open my eyes.

"First needle done"Bailey told me "How many are there?"i ask scared "3 but could only be 2"she
said i nodded she did the second injection.

"How does that feel?"Baikey asked pushing on the skin around my wound "it still hurts a bit"i told her
"okay let me do this one and we'll check again"she
told me.

I nod Bailey did the third injection "Okay how
does it feel now?"she asked "it's good i can't feel it"
i told her "okay i'm going to start stitching it up"
bailey told me i nodded.

15 minutes later she was finished stitching i
finally relaxed a little and she put cream over the stitches then bandaged over it,

"Okay all done you should start feeling it
again in like 30-50 minutes so if u need any pain
meds to stop it hurting let Zoe know or just press the doctor button on the side of your bed okay"Bailey
told me.

I nod and lie down in a comfortable position i
turn on my phone and watch TikTok i get a
message from Tim i ignore him "Mum when
can we go home?"i ask "i'm not sure sweetheart but i'd guess a couple days"Zoe told me i nod.

I half-swipe onto his message only for it to
make me actually view it "i guess there's no
escaping his message now"i think to myself
as i read his message.

"Hey lucy i'm sorry i rung the hotline for you
i just want to know if your okay"it read
"yea i'm okay in hospital for a few days i'll msg
u when i'm home"i reply then turn my phone off
and put it down.

"Lucy what do you want for dinner darling?"
Zoe asked me "Can i just have a sandwich and
crisps"I ask "Yea of course i'll go get u a meal deal
what sandwich,crisps and drink do you want?"Zoe asked me.

"Tuna and Sweetcorn sandwich,Quavers and
a Cherry Pepsi max"i tell her "okay i'll go
get that for you"Zoe said before she left my room.

I lay in my bed watching TikTok then Zoe came in
with a bag and put my food in-front of me then she took out a set of pyjamas and gave them me.

"Here i thought you might like these to wear
the gown is probably uncomfortable"she said
"Thanks mum"i said smiling at her.
