Everyone knew Beomgyu.

He was "that guy," the one always yelling across the hallway, climbing up desks like a maniac, balancing chairs on his head just to win a dare. Loud. Chaotic. The clown of the classroom. The one who'd laugh at his own jokes even if no one else did, and still walk away like he'd killed the whole room.

He was unforgettable, but never taken seriously.

"You're so dumb," his classmates would laugh, as he fumbled with a calculator or failed to answer a simple question in class.
He'd laugh with them. "I'm not dumb," he'd grin, "just creatively stupid."

They never knew.
That when he walked out those school gates, he turned quiet.
That he liked soft music and long walks with his earphones in.
That he read novels and understood people better than they understood themselves.
That the loudness was armor. A costume. A shield.

Because being quiet inside school made you invisible. And being invisible meant you'd disappear.

But even in all the noise he created, there was one person he couldn't distract himself from.

Him.

Him.
Three years of secret glances.
Three years of pretending he didn't exist.
Three years of watching from the side while pretending he liked someone else entirely.

The guy was everything he wasn't—calm, kind, composed. A graduating senior now. The type who remembered your name even if you didn't talk to him much. The type who held the door open, who smiled at teachers, who you could trust with anything.

Beomgyu never meant to fall. But it happened. Quietly. Slowly. Fatally.
And no one ever noticed, not even his best friend until he confessed one night while they were eating cup noodles on the rooftop.

"It's been years," he had whispered. "I think I really like him."

He never told anyone else.

Instead, he'd joke around. Make it a game.
"I'm gonna announce my crush today," he'd laugh, jumping on a desk. "You all better guess who it is!"
He'd throw around random names. girls, boys, even a teacher once, and the class would erupt in laughter.

But he never said his name.
Because saying it out loud made it real.
And real things could break.

Now the guy was about to graduate.
And he was still stuck here. In this dumb uniform. In this classroom where everyone thought he was just the comic relief of their lives.

But he had a plan.
He would confess. On graduation day.
One clean hit to the heart before the Guy walked out of his life forever.

That was the plan.

At least... it had been.
Until everything started to shift.
