A week after..
Giselle had just finished cleaning her tiny apartment in a sleepy corner of the beach town she now lived in. Studying abroad sounded glamorous, but in reality, it was mostly: lectures, homesickness, and trying to cook rice in a pot that kept burning the bottom.
Then came the knock.
She opened the door and—"SURPRIIIIISE!"
Soobin. Sunghoon. Sunoo. Beomgyu. Jungwon. All of them.Giselle blinks. "What the actual—why are you here?!"
Beomgyu grinned, holding his suitcase like it was the most casual thing ever. "Beach trip, duh."
Sunghoon "We missed you, okay?! What's the point of swimming if you're not here?"She looked behind them, wide-eyed. "There's five of you."
"And we all fit in the cab like a clown car." Said sunoo
Giselle slapped her forehead. "Guys, my apartment is literally half a room. You're gonna sleep on each other."
Beomgyu, the actor he is, dramatically yelled "WE BOUGHT THE LAST PLANE TICKETS FOR THIS TRIP AND THIS IS HOW YOU WELCOME US?!"
"Unbelievable. We suffer for love and you say 'my apartment too small.'" Sunghoon made a heart-like hand gesture that had just broke
(💔💔)
Giselle feels like screaming, she buries face in hands. "I swear I need to move to another continent."
But deep down? She was smiling like an idiot. Her heart felt full.

They found a quiet cove after hours of dramatic walking (and mild bickering about sunscreen). The sand was warm, the waves glistening, and the sky slowly fading into hues of gold.
"Look at this," Jungwon said, laying back against the sand, arms stretched. "This is peace."
"This is salt in my eye," Beomgyu hissed as Sunghoon splashed water at him.
"This is you two being loud," Giselle deadpanned, tossing a towel over their faces.
Later that evening, they gathered around a bonfire made from twigs and whatever Sunoo insisted counted as kindling. Giselle passed around drinks, and they all fell into easy conversation. the kind that drifts into silence every now and then, but never feels uncomfortable.
"You know," Giselle said quietly, staring at the ocean, "I thought I'd be fine on my own. But... this? You guys? I didn't realize how much I needed this."
Beomgyu smiled, poking at the fire. "Well, too bad. We're not leaving until you're sick of us."
"Joke's on you," Sunghoon added, "we already booked an extra week."
Everyone laughed, and in that moment, under stars and soft waves, it felt like nothing would ever change.
But deep in Beomgyu's chest, he knew things were changing. They were growing up, and this, this surprise trip, this reunion, this memory was one of the last few golden ones before the world would ask more of them.
Still, tonight, they had each other. And that was enough.
