Day 3
Beomgyu stood at the vending machine on campus, tapping his foot impatiently as he waited for his iced coffee to drop. He was trying so hard to focus on anything but the events of last night—the dinner, the kiss, the compliments, the second kiss...
"Ugh." He groaned, hitting his forehead on the machine.
"You good?" Yeji asked, sipping her bubble tea.
"Yeah. Just tired." He mumbled, grabbing his drink. They walked back to the quad, where their friend group was already gathered on the grass. Heeseung waved him over, and Beomgyu was about to sit when he saw her.
A girl.
A very pretty, very tall, and very flirty girl standing next to Yeonjun, who—oh great— he was already here, in his cop uniform, smiling like some K-drama second lead with a secret.
Beomgyu froze mid-step.
"Who's that?" he asked through gritted teeth.
"Oh, that's Haerin. She was asking Yeonjun for directions a while ago," Sunoo said. "She's totally into him, look."Beomgyu looked.
Haerin giggled at something Yeonjun said and touched his arm.
Touched. His. Arm.
"Oh." Beomgyu blinked. "Nice. She has... good taste."
"You okay?" Lia asked.
"Me? I'm fine. I'm GREAT. Why would I not be? I love watching my fake boyfriend flirt with girls. It's so normal."Sunoo snorted. "You sound jealous."
"I'm not." Beomgyu snapped.
"You totally are."
"Shut UP."He finally walked over to the group and plopped himself right between Yeonjun and Haerin, glaring at the girl like she insulted Toto.
"Oh, Beomgyu." Yeonjun smiled. "I was just telling Haerin about—"
Beomgyu leaned in and grabbed Yeonjun's arm. "Babe, I missed you. Where's my kiss for today?"
Yeonjun blinked. Then slowly grinned.
"Oh? Someone's clingy today."
Beomgyu didn't care. He was possessed by pure, jealous rage and 13% iced coffee.
"Isn't that what boyfriends do? Or do you only kiss girls now?" he asked sweetly, still clinging to Yeonjun's arm.
Yeonjun leaned in, eyes glinting with amusement. "You do get possessive. That's kinda hot."
And with that, he kissed Beomgyu. Not a peck. Not playful.
A real, lingering, boyfriend-style kiss. In front of everyone.
Haerin cleared her throat awkwardly. "Oh. Uh. You're dating."
Yeonjun pulled away and smiled, completely unaffected. "Yeah. Seventy-five days, but who's counting?"
Haerin excused herself fast.
Beomgyu stared at Yeonjun, stunned, lips tingling.
"Why did you kiss me like that?!" he hissed as soon as they were alone.
Yeonjun looked at him innocently. "I thought you wanted it. You asked, remember?"
"That was for revenge! I wasn't expecting—you didn't have to use tongue, Yeonjun!"
Yeonjun grinned wider. "I didn't. Yet."
Beomgyu turned red and nearly choked on air. "You're the worst."
"And yet you're still my boyfriend." Yeonjun winked. "Can't wait for Day 4, baby."
Beomgyu stormed off—but his heart was doing cartwheels.
This man was going to ruin him.
