Yeonjun walks into the precinct, looking all sharp in his uniform, and instantly, his coworkers—Soobin and Hueningkai—are snickering like they just saw a huge scandal unfold.
Soobin leaned to the wall and said "Well well, look who decided to show up after his week off. Mental health, huh?"
Yeonjun rolls his eyes "Shut up. You're just jealous I'm still your favorite cop."
Hueningkai butts in saying "We all know you spent your week with Beomgyu, so spare us the mental health excuse."
Soobin looks over at Yeonjun, raising an eyebrow "Beomgyu, huh? Didn't know you had it in you."
Yeonjun, trying to stay calm, grins smugly "I'm a man of many talents. You guys should get used to it."
Suddenly, Yeonjun's phone buzzes. He picks it up, and—you guessed it—it's a picture from Beomgyu:
A selfie of him lying in Yeonjun's hoodie, face half-hidden in the blanket, looking all smug like he's been waiting for Yeonjun to return home. The caption?
"Missing you already. Still your brat."
Yeonjun blushes but tries to keep his cool. He turns the phone screen away from his coworkers but fails to suppress the smirk.
Soobin whispered to kai "He's so whipped, man."
Hueningkai quirks a brow "Is that Beomgyu? the kid who can't even hide his feelings in front of a camera? What a softie."
Yeonjun, barely containing his excitement shushes them. "Shut up. Just because I don't brag about it doesn't mean I don't have real feelings for him."
Soobin, face faking surprise "Wait, wait. Are you serious? This isn't just a 75-day thing anymore? You're going soft on us, Hyung."
Hueningkai laughed "Are we about to get a full cop confession about your sensitive side? I never thought I'd see the day."
Yeonjun rolls his eyes, quickly texting back Beomgyu a cute response with a little too many heart emojis. Just as he's about to hit 'send,' his phone buzzes again. He checks it quickly—another selfie from Beomgyu.
Beomgyu, with a cheesy grin text him
"Love you, officer. Don't forget to serve your brat when you come home ;)"
Yeonjun's eyes widen, and he quickly sends back a "I'm your man, always" before putting his phone down, looking extra extra flustered.
Soobin now genuinely surprised said "Okay, he's not even trying to hide it anymore. You really are whipped."
Hueningkai is still laughing "C'mon, Yeonjun, admit it—you're officially in love."
Yeonjun, said in the softest voice they've ever heard from him "You're right. But if you tell anyone..."
Soobin and Hueningkai are grinning from ear to ear now. They know they're getting under Yeonjun's skin, and he knows it too, but honestly, he doesn't even care anymore. Not with Beomgyu waiting for him
