"I could carry you to the door like a prince,"

"I'd rather crawl home than let you touch me again."

"See? That's the spirit."

As Yeonjun reached for the ignition, he spotted something on the passenger seat.

Beomgyu's socks.

Smiling a little, he picked them up and got out. Just a quick drop-off, nothing dramatic. But as he stepped up to Beomgyu's door, he paused.

There are Voices.

"I didn't even want this. I was kind of forced into it."

Yeonjun froze.

Beomgyu?

"Forced?" another voice asked. Familiar.

Soobin.

Yeonjun didn't move. He didn't breathe.

"I mean, not in a creepy way," Beomgyu continued. "He found Toto and made a deal with me. Seventy-five days and we're done. It's just... a thing."

Yeonjun's heart twisted.

"He's annoying as hell. Clingy. Dumb. Too nice sometimes. Like he's trying too hard to prove something. I don't even know if it's genuine or just part of the act."

It hit like a slap.

"I don't love him," Beomgyu said, and though he laughed, Yeonjun could hear the crack in it. "And I won't. I'm just waiting for the deal to end so he can get off my back."

Silence. Yeonjun waited for Soobin to say something—anything. But it never came.

He turned around and walked back to his car, his steps slow, head low, like a man who had just died a little inside.

Soobin, glancing out the window, saw him leave.

That night, Yeonjun went to a club.

The plan was simple: get caught with a girl on the 50th day. Make it look like he was cheating. If Beomgyu already hated him—why not make it easier?

He couldn't stand the idea of a direct breakup. Not when he knew he'd still beg if Beomgyu asked him to stay. So he made himself into the villain instead.

That's when he met Huh Yunjin—stripper, confident, no-nonsense. He offered her 1,393,429.34 to fake a scene. Just one night. One kiss. That's it.

She led him to a room, already slipping into character, but he stopped her.

"I don't want to sleep with you," he said.

She blinked. "Did I turn you off or something?"

"No. You're beautiful. This just... isn't about that. I just need someone to pretend. That's all."

Yunjin stared at him, surprised. It was the first time anyone paid her that much and didn't want sex—just a conversation. A performance.

He told her everything. The deal. The heartbreak. The plan.

She agreed. Why not? Money is money.

But now, sitting beside him in the aftermath, Yunjin only felt pity.

"You should've just told him," she said quietly, one last time before she left. "You're both idiots."

And maybe she was right.

Because right now, Yeonjun felt like the biggest idiot of all.

(the part where Beomgyu n Soobin talked was on the chapter idk. I can only say it's on the letter "i" on the five🥹)
