"Your lips taste like a cookie, Elle."
Luke's P.O.V
"This looks really cool." I told Ellie after I had parked the car near the market. I had picked her up for our date & even though we only had a fifteen minute car ride, I'd say it was going well so far.
"Yea. My dad told me it was really nice to walk through so I figured it'd be good for a date."
"Then I'm glad we came."
"Me too." Ellie smiled over at me from the passenger seat before we both got out of the car, then walking & meeting in front of the car.
"Shall we?" I asked Ellie before I put out my hand, wanting her to hold mine.
"Yea. Let's do it." & luckily, she put her hand in mine before we walked across the car park over to where the market began.
It had everything. Booths for clothing, books, posters, shoes, accessories, chocolate, ice cream, beer, pizza, burgers, tacos.
Ellie & I decided it was best to walk through the entire market first before we decided where we wanted to stop at to get something to eat but when we walked past this one pizza stand that smelled amazing, we changed our plans & I ordered us two slices straight away. After eating that, we got a box popcorn as well because it also smelled way too good to pass up & we shared it.
"So where are the cookies that your dad said were the size of your head?"
"I think they're right down here." Ellie pointed down the street. "I saw someone walking with one & they came from that direction."
"Then let's go find them!"
Ellie was adorable & she walked fast in front of me before she must have spotted the cookies because she turned to look back at me with the dorkiest grin on her face.
"Did you find them?"
"Oh yea, look!"
The cookies were literally huge. I had no idea how they didn't crumble in half.
"Which flavor do you want?"
"M & M. Is that okay with you? We should share one, they're huge."
"Yea. M & M is fine. I'll go get it."
"I can." Ellie offered. "You got everything else today."
"No worries. I got it."
I went to buy her cookie & then I handed it to her but before I did, I kissed her cheek & Ellie went red but then she smile & that was adorable.
"Thanks, Luke."
"Of course. Do you want to go sit in the park over there & eat it?"
"Yea. I'm tired of walking anyways." She took off a piece of the cookie & then she handed it to me. "C'mon."
We walked over past the end of the market where there was a little park with a huge grass area, some trees, a small pond & a park.
"Let's sit here." Ellie stopped under a tree with a lot of shade. "This okay?"
I then took a seat. "Yea, it's okay."
"It's so pretty out today." Ellie was sitting in front of me, a giant cookie in her lap, a huge smile on her face in between bites. She was honestly so beautiful. "Don't you think?"
"What? Oh yea, it is. Lovely day." I answered. "& a lovely date, right?"
"Right. Here." & then she handed me more of the cookie as we tried to finish it off. "This is the only reason why it's such a good date though."
