She's just a normal girl who enjoyed fun. Yeah, enjoyed. Lately, she's not been able to enjoy anything. Why? She was hurt by one man who meant everything for her. If you've never been cheated on, you probably can't imagine how she feels. Betrayed. Hurt. Frustrated. She had 2 relationships. The first one ended because her 'boyfriend' fell in love with Charlotte's 'friend'. She was in pain. But then, the man of her dreams came. He had the pretty face, strong abbs and could do magic to women. Char started trusting somebody again. After a year, she started noticing weird things. He'd used to sleep at his flat which was just the building opposite to her one. It changed. He used to say sweet things to her. That changed too. He used to prefer cuddling to having sex. It changed. One day, she decided to answer his phone call while he was at the toilet. The screen said 'Rob'. She answered. But hearing "Hey baby. Miss ya." changed everything. He approached her and got angry. Maybe because she answered his call which revealed the truth. Maybe because his conscienes spoke out. And what is the poorest thing a man could do? Slap a woman. It came. One hard hit and she was down on the floor. Who to rely on in such a difficult situation? Only best friend. However he was too far. Sam came in one day. Told off the man who broke her. Helped Char to pack her clothes and took her to his place. His place which was further. To Dortmund. After the things had cooled off, Charlie promised herself never to fall again. Never ever.

2 weeks later

"Char?" Sam came in my bedroom looking at me softly. "Good morning." I mumbled and he smiled gently. "I have only one lesson today. Don't you wanna join me? We could grab lunch later." he suggested. I wrinkled my nose and stood up from the bed. "No, Sam. Thanks." I refused and he sighed. "Charlie, you...cannot sit here forever. I know it hurts. But...you need to get out of this flat. See Dortmund." he said and I chuckled softly shaking my head as no. "Believe me, this city is different than Munich. A lot different. You should see it and get some new thoughts into your mind." he added and stepped closer to me. A week ago, I'd have taken a step back. After Oliver hit me, I...something inside of me broke. I got scared when Sam stepped closer to me. But he's my best friend. The one who studied with me. He'd never hurt me. "I...I'm already making an effort." I mumbled and he smiled nodding his head. "I know and I do realize that, but...You cannot stay here any longer. You could get sick." he said and I looked down on the floor. "I wanna stay in today." I mused. "Today? You've been locked here for 2 weeks." he said and I looked up at him. "So what? Do you realize what happened to me? I was cheated on! I was his sex machine while he was cheating on me! How the hell am I supposed to pull my shits together so easily?!" I exclaimed while the tears were running down my cheeks. "Shhhh." Sam hugged me tightly. "Don't cry. Not anymore. Please." he whispered, but I kept sobbing. "Char, you...you can stay. Please, stop crying. I cannot bear seeing this scene anymore." he begged and I looked at him through the tears. "Go to school. You'll be late." I changed the subject and hurried into my bed. "Hey." Sam called, but I ignored him. "Don't push me away." he said. I ignored. "Charlotte Baumann! You're not allowed to push me away again!" he warned and joined me on the bed. "I know he hurt you. I'm sorry and if I could, I'd kill that man with my bare hands." he muttered bitterly while rubbing my back. "You need to let go. Let go of what happened and throw yourself at another adventure." he said and I peeked at him through my wet eyelashes. "I can protect you forever, but there's life out there." he said and I smiled lightly. His phone rang causing him to stand up. "Probably Thomas waiting downstairs." he explained and I nodded. "Think about tomorrow. You're not gonna stay here again." he said and pressed a kiss on my forehead. "See you." he said and walked away. Oh my Lord, what you did to me?

Walking down the stairs, I took a deep breath. It sounds dramatic, but stepping out of this flat after 2 weeks of being locked in it is a big deal for me. I opened the door and bit my lip nervously. I don't know where I'm going. I just...I thought going out by myself for the first time would be much better than going out with Sam who'd try to persuade me about everything being perfect. I was wandering around the nearest streets when I spotted a nice cafe. "Good morning, Ms. Would you like to get a seat?" the man who was standing in front of the cafe asked. I looked at him and took a step back. Just for safety. "No, thanks." I refused politely and started walking away. My phone started ringing, and so I answered. "Charlotte! Where are you?" Sam exclaimed and I sighed. "I...I. went out. For a walk. I'll be right back though." I said and heard his sigh. "I got so scared." he said and I crossed the street quickly. "I'm on my way back. No need to worry." I hung up and started walking back into the flat I'm still not calling home.

Marco's POV

"Good morning, Ms. Would you like to get a seat?" I heard somebody speaking. Turning around, I saw the beautiful girl standing there. She..she's very beautiful. But...there's not a smile on her face, nor any emotion. "No, thanks." she refused the offer of the employee after taking a step back. Why did she do it? She took a step back from that man who...who's actually very polite and kind. She started walking away, but I didn't stop watching her. She answered her phone, but still, her facial expression didn't give away anything. After standing there on one spot, she crossed the road by running. Her light brown hair which were falling a few centimetes down her shoulders. After a while, she disappeared. "Who was that?" Robin's question brought me out of my thoughts. I only shrugged and looked down on the plate. "Huh. Do you know her?" he posed and I looked at him. "I don't. What's the matter with you?" I tried to change the subject. "Nothing's wrong. Just you looking at the girl as if you saw an angel." he said and I shook my head grabbing the fork to eat my meal. She looked like an angel though...

Charlotte's POV

"Charlotte!" I heard Sam exclaiming from the living room. "Hey." I said and he sighed. "You know how worried you made me, don't you?" he posed and I rolled my eyes. "I went out for a walk and, as my memory tells me, you told me to do something like this." I mused and he chuckled. "You're very stubborn, but also thoughtful." he said and I smiled lightly. "Did you like the city?" he mused as I started walking towards the sofa. "It was...nice. Different." I answered with a shrug of my shoulders and sat down on the sofa. Sam grinned making me furrow my eyebrows. "What?" I mused and he shrugged. "This is probably the first time you're sitting on this sofa without me making you." he explained and I looked down on my lap. "I..." I rambled not knowing what to say. "It's a good thing. Don't explain it." he said and I nodded keeping my gaze on the material of my jeans. He broke me. And it's up to Sam to pick up the pieces. Sometimes, I wish there'd also be somebody else to help...but then, I realize I could get hurt again.
