Sunday

I placed some pieces of my clothes in the last suitcase and zipped it. I'm gonna move to that flat. The owner agreed saying it's better if somebody lives there instead of the flat being useless and empty. And living away from this place means staring a new part of my life. But it also means I won't see M..Marco. Not seeing him means less troubles for me. "Charlie?" Sam stepped into my room. At first he was sleepy, but when he realized the room is empty his eyes went wide. "What the hell happened here?" he squealed and I sighed. Standing up from the floor, I crossed my arms over my chest. "I packed all of my things. I...I'm moving into that apartment today." I explained and he rubbed his face. "You haven't changed your mind then." he mumbled and I sighed. "I've already explained why I think this is the right thing to do." I said and he sighed. "Why do I think that maybe, maybe you're running away from certain somebody?" he mused and I shivered. "Shut up." I said and lifted up the box with my photo frames and stuff like that. "No 'shut up'. You are running away from him." he quipped and I sighed. "Sam, I have nobody to run away from." I said, but he only scoffed. "Oh you do. His name is Marco Reus. You ran away yesterday and you're continuing your journey now." he said and I gulped. "You know what they say?" I asked and stepped closer. "If his smile gives you butterflies, run away. He means troubles." I said and he shook his head lightly. "I'll start with placing those boxes in my car." I had announced before walking away. I'm not running away, am I?

Sam's POV

"Hey!" Marcel exclaimed coming in. I chuckled, but my smile froze at the sight of Reus. "C-come in." I said and led them to the living room. "Where's Char?" Marco asked and I looked at him. "Charlotte?" I noted and he sighed. "Well, she's moving her clothes and stuff into her new flat." I said and he raised his eyebrows. "S-she...she's moving out?" he rambled and I shrugged. "Apparently." I muttered and looked at Marcel. "What are you doing here? Not that you're not welcomed here." I posed and he laughed. "Well, Marco wanted to talk to Charlie while I should be here with you." Marcel said and I chuckled. "She left about an hour ago. She should be back soon." I said and looked at Marco. "Be careful with what you say." I warned.

Charlotte's POV

"So...the deal is made, the contract signed. I can only wish you a nice time here, Ms Baumann." the guy who owns this flat said and I smiled softly. "Thank you. I know that...I was in a hurry, but..." he cut me off. "It's okay. You needed this flat, you have it." he said and I smiled. "Oh...I forgot to ask. The furniture and the sofa stay here?" I mused and he nodded. "I think it'll be much easier for you. It'd be useless for you to buy furniture and sofa when you don't know how long you'll stay here." he said and I smiled. "Don't you need it?" I asked and looked around. "No. I moved in a house with my fiancée and we bought everything." he answered. He seems the same age as me. Maybe 2 or 3 years older. And he's already engaged. Huh. You're a 'lucky' girl, Charlie. "Thanks again." I said and we shook hands. "Have a nice stay, Ms Baumann." he said and I nodded. This is my flat now. Great...

"Sam?" I called stepping in his flat. It's weird to come here and know that I'll have to leave. "Where's my suitcase? Haven't I told you to place it into the hall?" I posed and froze seeing Marco and Marcel sitting there. "Hi." Marcel said and I gulped. "Hi, Charlie." Marco said and I nodded. "S-Sam?" I mused looking at him. "C-could you help me with the suitcase?" I asked and he nodded. "I'll help you." Marco offered and I shivered. "N-no. Sam.." Marcel cut me off. "I need to talk to Sam, Charlotte." he said and I sighed. Waking to my room...well, the room I used to sleep in, I looked around and smiled sadly. "You're moving out then?" Marco mused softly. I looked on my left and pushed back the urge to smile. When I see him...only God can tell what's happening inside of me. "Yeah. It'll be better this way." I said and he furrowed his eyebrows. "Why do you think so?" he asked and I sighed. "Sam needs his privacy. I think that if one day, his girlfriend would wake up, and see me, she wouldn't be glad." I explained. "That's the only reason?" he asked and I shrugged. "I need to realize what to do next. Firstly, I need to find a job, and then, I can start thinking about the future." I mumbled. "Future?" he noted and I nodded. "If I'll stay here in Dortmund, or return to Munich. Or maybe I'll end up in a totally different city, country." I said and he shook his head. "I don't think so." he said with a soft smirk. He walked away with the pink suitcase and I gulped. What did he mean by it?

Opening the door of my car, I smiled at Marco politely. "Thank you." I said. "Charlie, can we talk?" he posed and I gulped. "I don't think there's anything to talk about." I mumbled, but he shook his head. "Last night, you...you didn't let me finish one sentence I've wanted to say." he said. I know which one he means. "Char, I...I know you're scared, but..." I cut him off. "I should go." I said and was about to get in when he grabbed my hand. I looked down and gulped hardly. His touch is so gentle. Oliver...used to grip too tightly causing...bruises over my wrist. I pulled away and started shaking. "I-I can't." I mused. "I really can't." I whispered and he sighed. "I like you, Charlie." he said. He likes me. Marco likes me... "I'm not the..good one." I said and he furrowed his eyebrows. "Charlie, let's get to know each other at least. Please." he said, but I refused. "Having a perfect smile doesn't mean I'm perfect inside." I mumbled and got in the car. I know that he might not hurt me, but...it's too soon, isn't it?
