Differences - Kaoru x reader

Kaoru couldn't get his mind round the feeling, but it seemed like something was off. He couldn't stop thinking about it, and wasn't into his hosting as much as he usually was. Hikaru was starting to worry too, but only because off how much it was messing with Kaoru. Because for the first time, you hadn't turned up to the host club. Kyoya and Kaoru had rung you multiple times, though you never answered. You'd been in school all day, and you hadn't called in ill. It took him a whole 2 hours before he snapped. Kaoru stood up and just left the room. And he didn't come back. Eventually, Kyoya completely stopped the host club, sent everyone home with apologies, and allowed the rest of the hosts to help search.


The rest of the day ticked by with no advance. There was no sign of you, and all the teachers and the secretary said you weren't ill. They eventually had to go home, but no one slept properly. No one knew where you lived, so they had no way of checking if you were there. But Kaoru was worse off. He never slept a wink all night, left at 5 in the morning and went the whole way to Ouran alone. He set himself out to find out anything he could from everywhere, as the time ticked by he started to feel worse and worse.
"Y/N... If anything's happened..." And then he realised. It was the one place no one would look in...
