"Thank you. I promise we will find a way to help you with whatever it is that's on your mind." You want to believe her so badly, but you just don't know whether that is possible.

Yuya comes over and helps you to stand. You wobble a bit, but thankfully stay upright.

"Come on, we had better get you home so you can rest."

The prospect of seeing your mum makes your stomach churn, but at least if you are asleep you won't have to deal with her. Truthfully, you don't really know what to think of your situation, let alone how to deal with it. It is just all so confusing. The easiest thing to do to protect yourself was to get angry, but now that your strength is gone, the anger has ebbed away with it, leaving you feeling . . . hollow. Maybe your friends can help. Either way you won't have to shoulder the weight alone much longer. A faint smile ghosts your lips at the thought.

You lean against Yuya the whole way home, but when you get to the front door, you stand on your own, subtly keeping a hand against the door frame just in case.

Yuzu opens the door, as it is unlocked, and calls out to your mum.

"Mrs (l/n), we're back. (y/n) is fine, but just a bit tired so we will take her up to her room to rest."

"Alright. Thank you for looking after her. I will be up soon to help." Her voice is bright, almost normal, if it weren't for the tiniest tinge of strain to her tone. No one seems to notice it but you.

You all head upstairs to your bedroom, and Yuya gingerly lowers you down to the bed. Normally you would worry about changing into your pyjamas again, but right now you are just too tired, and your clothes are clean enough anyway.

You climb under the covers after saying goodbye and thank you to Yuya and Yuzu, who were the only ones who had accompanied you back home.

As the door finally shuts with a faint sound of complaint, you drift easily into a deep and peaceful sleep.

*Yuya's Point of View*

After settling you into bed, Yuya and Yuzu head downstairs to find your mother waiting for them. She seems tired, but more than anything else, worried. She makes no move to head to her daughter's room, but instead approaches the two.

"Thank you again for looking after her. She is having a hard time at the moment, and will need you to stand with her more than ever. Please keep her safe, and stop her from running off."

Yuzu is the one who answers. "We will always be there for her. (y/n) is our friend, and we want to help her. Do you know what it is on her mind?"

Your mum sighs before answering, unsure of really what to say. "It's almost completely my fault, though (y/n)'s stubbornness isn't helping. It isn't my place to say details, but have faith that she will tell you when she's ready. There's no way of hiding the truth forever."

Hiding the truth? What? Your mum's words didn't really add up or make much sense to Yuya. It was time they were headed back anyway, so Yuya took that as his chance to leave after saying goodbye, dragging Yuzu along behind him. Once they were on the street again, he let her go, only to be slapped with her fan.

"Hey! What was that for?"

"I don't like being dragged about Yuya!"

"We needed to leave anyway, and if you had your way, you would have stayed there interrogating poor Mrs (l/n) all night!"

"I do not interrogate!"

"Looked like it to me! But did you even understand that last part anyway?"

Yuzu hesitates, then frowns. "No, but I guess we will find out tomorrow."

*Time skip to school the next day*

*(y/n)'s Point of View*

The first part of the school day flies by too quickly, even with all the extra work you are forced to do to catch up on your missed lessons.

Soon comes lunch, and with it, your friends and their pressing questions. The least you could do, you supposed, was give them answers. You were sick of having to do all the thinking and worrying and accusing on your own.

Yuya and Yuzu joined you outside your Maths classroom and you all headed towards your favourite tree, where you could talk and eat in peace, though you doubted you would be doing any of the latter with all the things you have to say.

As you settle down, Yuzu [surprise, surprise] is the one to break the silence.

"Are you up to it today (y/n)? If not, we can wait if you want." You were in a good mood today having avoided your mum most of the morning. Another day may only make it worse.

"I think I'm ready." You give her a nervous smile while you consider the best place to start. Going straight ahead and talking about other dimensions might not be the best plan. Taking a deep breath, you begin.

"Have you ever got the feeling that maybe we're not the only world out there?"

[A/N]

I love student free days!! Sorry to leave you on a cliffhanger. I need to watch parts of the series again to see where Yuya and Yuzu are in terms of knowledge of the other dimensions. Still, I hope you like it! And I am sorry that there hasn't been much Yuto lately, but I PROMISE HE WILL BE BACK SOON!! If not the next chapter, then definitely the one after that.

Please like and comment as well as I love hearing from you guys! You make this well worthwhile! :)
