I just want to quickly apologize in advance for any faults in my story-line that do not match up entirely with the anime. I will do my best to make the information accurate, but I am sadly only human, and not perfect. Anyway, back to the story . . .

*(y/n)'s Point of View*

You finish giving a brief explanation about how you were from another dimension called the Fusion Dimension, and that your dad was sealed into a card when you tried to escape. Sadly, it didn't come out quite as you had hoped, though there really was no sane way to talk about interdimensional travel.

"You guys don't believe me, do you?" Your comment was more statement than question.

Yuzu hastily tries to cover the shadowed look in her eyes with an encouraging smile. "Oh, no! We believe you, it's just a bit, how do I put this . . . unexpected. Plus, there is no real solid proof to go off and, well, I know I would like to hear it from your mum too just to make sure."

"Great, now all my friends think I'm insane." You mutter under your breath.

"Sorry, (y/n). What did you just say?"

"Never mind. I didn't expect you to understand anyway." You get up and head off to prepare for your next class, done with the conversation. Even with all the students filing through the corridor, so many that it was hard to move, you had never felt so alone.

*time skip to after school that same day*

Your mum is there to greet you when you get home from school. She must have left work early in order to meet you on time. Oh, great.

"(y/n), sweetheart, are you hungry? I baked a cake this afternoon just for you!" Really early, apparently.

"When are you going to make up the hours?" You decide on a safe, indifferent answer.

"Sorry?"

"For the work you skipped this afternoon."

"Oh, I didn't skip. You see, I wasn't feeling well and . . ."

"Sure." Your mum goes to launch into some long lie to cover it up, but you just don't have the energy. "What do you want?"

She just blinks, unsure of what to say.

"You obviously want to talk me. That's why you left early. So whatever you have to say, can you please just spit it out!"

Her brows crease in concern. "Are you OK, honey? What happened at school?"

"I don't feel like talking about it."

"Please. I'm your mother. I care about you. When did you stop wanting to talk to me? When did you stop letting me in?"

"The moment you lied. About dad. About the Fusion dimension. About me. I tried talking to Yuya and Yuzu, but they don't understand. They think I'm crazy! And maybe they're right. Maybe I'm going insane. Please just stop lying about the past. I don't know who I am anymore!"

She looks stunned, though it was obvious she was expecting it. "They were right."

"Excuse me! I am not cra..."

"No! No. The soldiers. The members of Obelisk force."

"What they told you was true. You were born in the Fusion dimension, but it isn't exactly an ideal home, especially for a young girl. They were training everyone for war. You included, once you reached the right age. I – we didn't want you to be turned into one of those monsters, and so your father and I decided to take the chance and run. It was the best thing we could do, to ensure you had the chance to live the way you wanted." She pauses, and as you notice the tears in her eyes, you don't know whether to comfort her or slap her. "Your father . . . didn't make it. They captured him and sealed him into a card. T-to make it worse, they . . . they . . . tore the card. He is lost, and I will never see him again." Your mum is sobbing by this point, but you need to know. You need her to continue. You say the only thing you can.
