"But we'll take the stairs." Scott gives me a mischievous smile. I laugh at him as we quickly make our way over to the stair well and climb down from the roof. Once we're back on the top floor of the hospital, we make our way to the stairs and walk down to the first floor, both of us wondering and hoping that Lydia and Liam might have found something. Actually, it would be great if any of the pack have. Scott and I walk to the entrance and wait for Lydia and Liam to get back. After a few minutes, I see the duo rush over to us. "Did you find anything?" I ask hopefully. Lydia sighs and shakes her head sadly before looking down at the ground. "No, we didn't." Liam speaks up.
"Neither did we." Scott adds.
"Come on, let's head to Tracy's house so you werewolves can use your sniffers to get her scent. We'll probably have more luck finding her then." I suggest, starting to walk out of the hospital. My friends quickly follow behind me. We jump into the jeep and I follow Lydia's directions towards Tracy's house. When we finally arrive, we park a little bit further down the street. The four of us get out of the car and walk up to the house. All the lights are off. I assume that Tracy's father must be down at the station or something, giving the cops any details he can and the cops will be trying to assure him that Tracy will be found. We all walk up to the front door. Scott tries to open the door, but of course, it's locked. I tap him on the shoulder, getting his attention. Scott turns around to look at me with confused eyes. "Here. Allow me." I smirk. Scott shrugs and gestures for me to step forward. I take one step closer to the door and lift my hand out and concentrate. I try to picture the lock inside the door moving as if a key was inside the lock. After a moment, I hear a small click. I reach my hand out to the door handle and turn it. I push the door open with no problem. I turn around to my friends and grin mischievously. "Woah, that's cool." Liam says, looking impressed.
"This is breaking and entering." Lydia hisses, but I can tell that she is impressed too. I then turn to Scott, who is smiling at me softly and gazing at me with awe. "That's my boyfriend that I know and love." Scott comments before giving me a quick kiss on the cheek. I feel myself blush a little. "Thanks. Now, let's go before we get caught." I say. I know I could hide us all with my invisibility power, but it's still better if we don't get caught. Scott, Liam and Lydia nods in agreement. We quietly sneak into the house and up the stairs. Lydia guides us towards Tracy's room. We open the door and enter the teenage girl's room. It's a decently sized room, if I do say so myself. The first thing that catches my attention is the skylight. I then notice the police tape that is wrapped around Tracy's bed. I walk forwards, trying to find something that could give us a clue as to where Tracy could be. Scott, Lydia and Liam spread out searching for clues too. I walk over to Tracy's bookshelf and start searching that, pulling a few books out of place to look behind them.
"Hey guys, look at this." Liam says from behind me. I turn around to see Liam standing at Tracy's bedside table, holding up a strange looking book. I knit my eyebrows together as I walk over to Liam. I take the book from Liam's hands and examine it carefully. My heart skips a beat and the room feels like it got a few degrees colder when I see the front cover. I would recognize these creatures anywhere, even if Theo told me that I shouldn't remember. I glance back up at the younge beta werewolf. "Liam, where did you get this?" I ask in a serious voice. Lydia and Scott walk over to Liam and I. Scott places a hand on my shoulder. "What's wrong, Stiles?" Scott asks me worriedly, but I ignore his question for now. "Uh, it was just in one of the draws of her bedside table." Liam replies, not seeing the real meaning behind this book. I turn to Lydia, who is gazing at me with concern. "Lydia, look at this." I hand the banshee the book. She gasps as she sees the cover, her eyes widening a little in fear. "Do those images look familiar?" I ask her curiously. Lydia gulps nervously, but then nods in answer. "Why? What's going on, Stiles? What are those things?" Scott questions me with fear lacing his voice as he points to the picture on the book. "It's just as the title says, Scott. Those are the Dread Doctors. The things that Lydia and I saw at Eichen House." I say as I look over at Scott with a little bit of fear.
"The things that want to experiment on the both of us?" Scott asks for clarification.
"Yes." I reply. Scott's eyes fill with more fear.
"So, this is really bad, right?" Liam asks in confusion.
"Yes, this is really bad. I think I know what has happened to Tracy now." Lydia replies, her face going pale. The voice of Valak rings through my head. They want to change people. They want to turn them into something else. Something that is not what they are supposed to be. They'll turn truly good people into something truly evil. "She has been turned into an experiment. What that experiment is, I don't know, but I'm sure we will find out." I remark with a nod of understanding. "We have to warn my dad and the others about this. Tracy could be anywhere and will probably try to attack someone, if what Valak said was true." I add as my heartbeat starts quicken. Scott, Lydia and Liam all hum in agreement. "Do you guys have her scent?" I ask Scott and Liam. They both nod quickly. With that, the four of us quickly race out of the room and run out of the house. We jump into the jeep. I toss the book into the back of the jeep, as I'm sure that could have some importance later. "Where are we going? What direction is her scent?" I ask the two werewolves. They lean their heads out of the windows and sniff the air. "Head towards the Sheriff's station." Scott tells me. I nod before I start the car and quickly drive towards the Sheriff's station.
A/N: Hey guys, I hope you're enjoying the story so far. I have so many good ideas in store for this book. Anyway, I regret to say that this will be the last update for a few weeks. My exams are next week and I need to study and then the week after that, I have work experience. So yeah, I'm very busy. Also, I would like to write a few more chapters in advance so I can keep ahead of writing, just like I am with the other stories I'm updating regularly at the moment. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but I need to force myself to study for my exams. They are worth 30% of my grades and I don't exactly want to fail. I lost my revision the other day because it was wiped off my computer for some reason, so I have to start again *sigh*. Anyway, I think you can expect the next update sometime in mid-late July. If it is any later than that, which I hope won't be the case, I will be sure to let you know. Thank you for your understanding. Until next time, happy reading!
