"That's for all the pain and suffering you caused me." I say before I lean down and punch her in the face again.
"That's for brainwashing Scott and hurting him further than I thought you could." I snarl, letting all my built up anger out. I stand up again and watch as she writhes around in pain. I use my telekinesis to pin her against a tree. I make sure to slam her against the tree hard. "That's for trying to kill my doppelgänger." I tell her with venom in my voice. Samantha looks at me with slight fear. I walk up to her and slap her across the face. Her nose is already bleeding and looks a little crooked. "That's for turning Scott against me! Not just tonight, but for when you were dating him too!" I continue.
"Do you want me to go on? There are many other things I want to say to you." I ask Samantha as I raise my eyebrows. Samantha doesn't answer. She just whimpers in response. "DO YOU WANT ME TO KEEP GOING?!" I shout loudly as I get right into her face, making the hybrid flinch.
"N-no," She whispers shakily. Tears start forming in her eyes. I scoff and shake my head at her.
"I still can't believe that you went this far. I've never met someone as horrible and evil as you. Even Vanessa wasn't this bad." I comment. I release my telekinetic grip on Samantha and watch as she slides to the ground. She gasps for breath and her body shakes slightly. I start to turn away from her. I glance over at Scott to see that he's still lying unconscious on the ground. I let myself smile a little. He looks so peaceful and innocent. Unfortunately, Scott catches me off guard. I don't notice Samantha getting off the ground before it's too late. She shoves me hard and I stumble forwards, but I manage to stay standing. I turn to look at her. "Why are you still fighting this, Samantha? Haven't you learnt the lesson yet? True love can beat even the strongest of spells because love is the strongest magic there is." I tell her simply as I stand my ground while she walks towards me. "Maybe that is true, but you want to know something about me, Stiles?" Samantha replies.
"No, I really don't." I snap at her.
"If I can't have something, then no one else can either." She says as she stops in front of me. Suddenly, I hear a groan come from behind me. I quickly glance over my shoulder to see Scott waking up. He looks over at me with confusion and fear once he notices Samantha with me. "St-Stiles?" He asks weakly with a stutter. I turn back to Samantha, suddenly feeling nervous. A dark expression crosses her face. "If I can't have Scott, then no one can!" She screams in my face, eyes glowing green. I feel myself being flung backwards. I land on the ground far away with a thump. I groan in pain. "Stiles! Are you okay?" Scott calls out as he slowly gets to his feet. He's a little wobbly. I watch in horror as Samantha rushes over to Scott. "No!" I scream in protest as she lifts a hand in front of her and Scott is lifted into the air. Scott starts to choke and his hands go to his neck out of instinct to find the source. His legs thrash around aimlessly as he struggles to breathe. Samantha must be using her telekinesis to cut off his airways! For a moment, I'm too shocked to move. Scott's choking noises and gasps for air get louder the longer Samantha holds Scott up in the air. "I'm sorry I have to do this Scott, but I can't stand you being with anyone else. If you can't be with me, well, you can't be with anyone at all. Besides, killing you will hurt Stiles more than anything in the world. Seeing his pain and heartbreak will mean more to me than seeing him die." Samantha explains to Scott. His eyes widen in shock and fear as his face turns a slightly purple and blue color. I quickly get to my feet and start running over to Samantha and Scott. I can't let her kill him! "Samantha.... Please..." Scott barely manages to choke out as he suffocates.
"You know, I always liked the idea of you begging for me. I never pictured it like this though. Oh well, it'll do." Samantha giggles. I reach my hand out a little and let an icicle form just above my hand. I watch as it sharpens and lengthens, cold air billowing around it. I run the last bit of the distance and throw my hand forward before I have second thoughts. Everything seems to slow down as the icicle races towards Samantha. I watch as the long shard of ice pierces through her back all the way through to her stomach. I stop in my tracks and Samantha gasps in pain. She lowers her hand and Scott collapses to the ground. Samantha turns towards me, eyes filled with horror. Blood starts spilling out from around the icicle, quickly staining her clothes. I stare at Samantha with no emotion. "I didn't want it to have to come to this, but you forced me to, Samantha. There is no saving you from what you are. You will always be a heartless monster." I tell her as blood starts dripping out of her mouth. "I didn't think you had it in you, Stiles." She replies in shock before she too collapses to the ground. I kneel beside her as she lies there, slowly dying. She gazes up at me, her eyes filled with tears. She's already finding it harder to breathe. Blood dribbles down her chin. "I didn't think I would die this way." Samantha chuckles, trying to lighten the mood. I don't say anything back, unsure how to feel. She looks at me seriously and takes my hand and squeezes it. "Thank you," She whispers. I frown in confusion.
"For what?" I ask.
"I'll get to see my parents again. I've missed them so much. I know that I've made so many mistakes and horrible choices because of their deaths, but now, I'll finally be able to go back home. You are a good man, Stiles. A great man, in fact. I mean it. No more lies, no more tricks and no more spells. Scott is lucky to have someone like you. I know that you'll be great for him. You can be everything that I couldn't be." Samantha tells me with a smile. I scan her face, looking for any sign of joking around, but I can't see any. "Thank you for that, I guess..." I reply, my mouth feeling insanely dry.
"I'm so sorry for the way I treated you. I'm sorry for all the things that I did. I'm sorry for being such a bitch. I can finally see how stupid it all was. You're right, Stiles. I am a monster, but I can't blame it on being half siren. My mother was a siren, yet she was one of the kindest ladies that I have ever known. My dad was amazing too. The darkness in my heart is totally my own." Samantha says shakily as her breathing hitches a little.
"I still love Scott, but it's time for me to let go so that we can both be happy. He was never going to be truly happy with me, even if I took all his memories of you away. I can see that you guys are soulmates. Deep down, I think I knew that all along, but I tried to deny it. I really hope that you and Scott can find your happily ever after. You both deserve it." Samantha smiles at me, tears still falling down her face.
"I... I don't know what to say..." I mumble, feeling quite speechless and numb.
"You don't have to say anything." Samantha assures me. We sit in silence for another couple of minutes. Then, Samantha's grip on my hand relaxes. "Goodbye, Stiles..." Samantha says as she takes her final breath. She then suddenly stills and her eyes glaze over. Everything seems more silent than normal. I slowly pull my hand away from Samantha's body. "I'm sorry." I whisper as tears prickle in my eyes. This was surprisingly hard for me. I sniffle and wipe my eyes before I stand up and walk over to help Scott. He's lying on the ground, still trying to get his breath back. I pull him to his feet and then give him a hug, closing my eyes as I bury my face into his shoulder, wanting to hide from the world. "I-is it over?" Scott asks me.
"Yes. It's all over now. Samantha can't bother us again. You're safe." I sigh in response.
