"Well, Mom, water can heal Stiles and his dad because they are merpeople. Mermen, to be exact. That's why Stiles' eyes were green and how he held Tracy up against the wall. Merpeople have a range of powers, telekinesis being one of them. The reason why they have legs is because they took a potion that could turn them human while they are on land. Once they touch salt water, they'll transform back into their true selves. Don't worry, I can assure you that Stiles and his dad aren't dangerous to us. They are only dangerous to their enemies that threaten their family, friends or their own people." Lydia explains delicately to her mom, clearly wondering how she will react to this news. There is a moment of complete silence. I then hear Lydia's mom start to laugh. "You're joking with me, aren't you Lydia? Please tell me you're joking. There's no way that John and Stiles could... No. You're just joking." Natalie denies the truth.
"Lydia is telling the truth, Ms Martin." I call out as I continue to stare at the ceiling blankly.
"B-but how is it p-possible?" Natalie stutters.
"Anything is possible, Natalie. Werewolves, kanimas and banshees exist, right? You've seen them with your own eyes. So why can't merpeople exist?" John reasons with Lydia's mom.
"I guess so..." I hear Natalie breathe quietly. I can smell her confusion, worry and curiosity from her. Suddenly, I hear someone burst into the room again, breathing heavily. I can hear water slosh around in a bucket. "Stiles? Is that you?" I ask hopefully, my heartbeat rising. All I want right now is to be with Stiles. I want him to cradle me in his arms, hugging me, kissing me and talking to me until I can finally move my own body again. However, I know that can't happen right now, no matter how much I love my boyfriend. We need to figure out how to get everyone out of here safely and preferably without being seen. "Yes, it's me. I've got the water!" Stiles announces. I hear some footsteps make their way to the side of the room. "Have you healed yourself yet, Stiles?" John asks his son worriedly.
"Yep. It only took several seconds for it to work. My head is as good as new, no stitches required." Stiles replies in a cheerful tone. I hear the sound of water being poured over something. That something must be the Sheriff, I assume. "Thanks, Stiles." The Sheriff sighs in relief. After another 30 seconds or so, I hear Stiles and his dad get up and the tiny bits of glass drop to the floor. "Is all the glass gone? Do you feel any more of it?" Stiles asks his dad worriedly.
"No, that should be all of it. The water has healed me completely, so either the glass dissolved or was washed away." Stiles' dad responds. "Okay, so can you help Lydia get her mom to the hospital?" Stiles asks his dad hopefully as I lie here on the floor, unable to move a muscle, feeling numb. "Of course." Stiles' dad replies. I hear feet moving around the room and then Natalie groaning in pain. I assume that Lydia and John are attempting to lift her up off the floor. "Okay, good." I hear Stiles say after a few moments, so I guess everything went okay. I like how Stiles is taking leadership in the situation here. It really does reinforce the fact that he will make a great King for Atlantia someday. "I'll meet you guys at the animal clinic once you have taken Natalie to the hospital." Stiles tells Lydia and his dad.
"Alright, be careful, Stiles." The Sheriff replies before I hear footsteps starting to make their way out of the room.
"Okay, so what about us?" Liam asks from somewhere on the floor.
"Hang on, I'll call Derek to tell him to get his furry werewolf ass and the rest of his group to come here immediately. Then we'll be able to get you guys and Tracy out of here safely." Stiles replies in a calm voice as he formulates a plan. I can hear Stiles fumbling around for his phone. I then hear fingers tapping against the phone's screen. The phone starts ringing out. Suddenly, Stiles comes into my line of sight. He kneels down beside me. He uses his free hand to caress my face, which is still wolfed out. Stiles gives me a comforting smile. "You're going to be alright, Scott. I promise." Stiles assures me, his thumb moving across my cheek. "I know, I know." I reply with a small smile of my own, but I wish I could lift a hand to grasp onto Stiles' hand and squeeze it comfortingly. Unfortunately, I can't do that. I just have to lie here completely useless. "So much for just the two of us relaxing together tonight, huh?" I say, trying to lighten the mood. Stiles chuckles and shakes his head at me. "Making out with you in my room feels like days ago now, even though it was only hours ago." Stiles comments. I then hear the click of the phone, meaning that Derek has picked up. Since I have nothing else to do, I use my werewolf hearing to listen in on what Derek has to say. "Stiles? What's going on?" Derek asks worriedly. "You, Malia, Kira, Isaac and Kara need to get to the Sheriff's station now. We found Tracy, but I need your help." Stiles explains to the older werewolf quickly.
