"Josh, c-can I tell you something?" I ask my boyfriend, Josh, who's just chilling on the sofa watching the Kerrang! channel.
"Sure, what is it, baby boy?" I wince slightly when he calls me a boy, and he gets up and wraps his arms around my waist.
"Well, the thing is, I'm not a boy. I'm a girl. And I've always wanted to be a girl ever since I was younger."
"So you're transgender?" I nod, and watch Josh's facial expression change from confused to...excitement?
"You're not mad at me?" I ask him, hating how deep my voice sounds.
"Nah, I'm fine. I'm sure my sisters have some spare clothes that you can keep." He grins at me.
"T-thanks, babe. I'm due to start hormone therapy next month."
"That's so cool. Oh, and, um, what's your preferred name?"
"Y/F/N."
"Y/F/N? That's such a pretty name. Now let's go out to get some pretty clothes to match the pretty name that belongs to that pretty girl." And with that, we head off to the shops.
