"I'm afraid we're going to have to do the surgery now, otherwise you'll get extremely sick."
Those were the words that the young woman had heard before being sent away. It'd been a long journey from the pebbled shores of the beach where she had rested over to the castle on the other side of the island; her journey made even longer by the long walk through the dark forest. It is now nightfall by the time she's halfway down the gravelly pathway to the castle, where they're waiting for her. In order to distract herself, she tries to think of her travel through the dark forest.

It's ok, Kat, you can do this, she had thought to herself as she had entered the forest. Her feet had ached from walking over the pebbles, and her legs - although covered in tight white stockings - did nothing to help keep the cold out. Her tattoos had seemed more faded on her pale arms, and the identification bracelet on her wrist served as a reminder of why she was here. She had walked into the forest with her head held high, but immediately became frightened of the towering trees, which served no light so she couldn't tell what time of day it was. She had thought she'd heard voices by the river, but she couldn't hear them over the rush of the running waterfall.
And then she had seen the cat.
It was not a kitten, but it definitely looked small for an adult cat, so it must've been a female. She was lying down, and she was staring at Kat as if she knew how scared Kat felt in that moment. The cat was white with grey fur thrown into the mix. She was incredibly fluffy, and she had beautiful green eyes. The cat had gotten up from the forest floor, yawning a little, and she had approached Kat with a little trot, her tail waving high in the air. She sniffed around Kat's stockings, and chewed a little on the cords of her hospital gown.
"No, don't do that. You'll get hurt," Kat had said sternly to the cat, yanking the cord away. She had knelt down and stroked the cat behind the ears. She had noticed that the cat didn't have a collar, but looked very well cared for, so she had assumed that the cat had belonged to someone. Kat suddenly glimpsed at her hospital bracelet, and decided it was time to go.
"Goodbye, Lady Fluffworth," she had said with a small chuckle, giving the cat one last scratch behind the ears.
Then she had got up, and left the cat behind her.

Now she's at the doors of the castle, which open to reveal a 6 foot tall man who is wearing a black sleeveless shirt that show off some armband tattoos with some sort of symbol between them on his right arm, and he has an X on his middle finger of his right hand, along with an anchor on his left thumb, and a quote on his left upper arm. He also has dark jeans and boots, along with four necklaces around his neck, and a bright gold scarf, and jet black hair and a lot of eyeliner. He smiles sinisterly at her, and then frowns.
"Pets aren't allowed here, Princess," he hisses, his thick Australian accent making the words a little harder to hear. Kat looks down and notices the white cat from earlier.
"She must've followed me. Shoo, you're not supposed to be here." Before she can find out if the cat runs off or not, the man grabs her, and drags her inside the castle, where she sees another man of similar height with a teardrop tattooed just under his left eye. His eyes are a bright piercing pinky/purple colour. He has black hair and has tattoos scattered all over his shoulders and arms, including a bright blue butterfly, a skull and crossbones, and a dark blue star are going down in a line on his right arm.
"Ah, Mitchell, is she here?" The man asks the man who is holding Kat's arm. His English accent is soft, which Kat vaguely remembers meaning that soft voices are the most dangerous. She decides to tune out of what's happening in order to make it less painful, but she still cannot help but wince as the sharp instruments pierce and stab at her skin, and she can feel wetness as the blood begins to slowly trickle down her skin.
Finally, she's thrown down onto the concrete floor of the cage in the castle, and Mitchell leans over her.
"Goodnight, Princess. See you in Hell," he says, smirking at her, before throwing something into the cage with her. All Kat knows before she falls into a deep sleep is the white cat coming over and curling up on her chest before falling asleep, her tail swishing occasionally as she slept.
